Blogging is very much over-rated. What started out as a way for people to have a medium to share their thoughts with the world, offered mostly for free by companies like Google (Blogger), has been going down the drain since the money-sharks discovered that this could be another medium for them to carry their SPAM.
Anyone who owns a website with access to site statistics knows the referal spam from the SPAM-industry with urls to blogs like; viagro-poker-games.blogspot.com that pop up in their lists and surfers start to get really annoyed by the "adsense-blogs" that make your pleasure in surfing vanish as snow in the sun.
Blogging has become just Another medium to carry those damn ads that pollute the internet, you can't visit a website anymore without getting spammed by gooooooogle.
John Scott, owner of v7n, has announced a $10.000 blogging contest today and I can already predict that this contest will be swarmed by goooooogle ad spammers, just as the whole internet is nowadays.
