Now this is interesting...

The Passion Of The Reefer's 4-20-05 DVD release Make-My-Marijuana-Commercial Contest

Marketingblog-schmarketingblog, how's this for *high* concept:
The Passion Of The Reefer's DVD release Make-My-Marijuana-Commercial Contest!
Send us your own personal vision of a commercial showing how legalized marijuana can be advertised–as a product, good, service, organization or retailer–and win a full pound of
The Best Marijuana In The World™, BC-grown "butter buds"* to celebrate the April 20, 2005 DVD release of underground hollywood marijuana epic, The Passion Of The Reefer!
We are looking for amateur and professional-quality commercial advertisements, fifteen seconds to two minutes in length, preferably digital although we wouldn't want to limit anyone's creativity by excluding video or film, even 8-mm! As a matter of fact, even
music videos are welcome. As long as the subject matter has to do with marijuana in some way, shape or form.
The best of the bunch, winner and nine runner-ups, will be included in the April 20, 2005 DVD home-market original release of The Passion Of The Reefer, director John Frady's happily-schizophrenic contemporary California mash-up of cult classic
Reefer Madness and the Sixties' seminal milestone Easy Rider.
As submissions come in, we'll post them or their links here on this weblog.

Well, it's been a while since I wrote anything on here. Much has happened since the last time. Of course the American elections had my attention, if you want to know how I feel about Bush being "elected" again? What can I say? I didn't see much difference between the democratic and republican parties when it comes down to the real issues and I personally doubt that any canditate would have made real changes to get rid of the huge corruption and war profiteering that is going on. Not to mention the ridiculous power of the pharmaceutical industries in politics.

There is still a long way to go before world leaders will start listening to the people who only want a peaceful and clean invironment to live in and a friendly place to see their children grow up.
