Land before time – (one of the many parts) I have two girls, 3 & 5 so I get to watch a lot of this.
"In a world full of life you are only as alone as you want to be."
There is a lot of truth in that statement. I'm sure someone somewhere said that before the cartoon creators did, but that is where I heard it first.
We are only as alone as we choose to be.
Sometimes we want to be alone and we feel we can't. For me that feeling is not so much wanting to be alone but to be peaceful. That's when I meditate or return to silence, even if only for a moment.
Sometimes we are with a group of people yet we feel so alone. Become connected to the now and feel the energy that surrounds you and that comes through you. Learn to center yourself and let go of ego. When I do that I am no longer alone.
Sometimes we are in a place where there is no one. We are still not alone unless we choose to be.
In our darkest moments if we seek awareness, presence whatever you want to call it, maybe we can feel the life around us and within us.
I must take time to feel the breeze on my face. I must take time to feel the sun, the rain, the heat and cold. I must take time to listen to nature. I must step outside of ego and return to self to feel God.
When I do that I truly understand that I am only as alone as I want to be. |

Great post Slide.
You know alone is an issue I have often dealt with.Too much and not enough lol. After loosing so many in my family in death I used to could never stand to be alone.
My grandmother used to leave me alone in a big old scary house sometimes over night. I then grew up to have my own children. My son Rev.Jared and I are like best friends. He an his wife moved out once for almost a year and my home felt so empty I was really glad when they decided to move back home. My daughters one of my best friends too I really wish they were here full time along with the grandkids
Now we have tennants too as reverend mika and Katherin rent the basement and theres always a couple or three juggalo friends around and ministry members I really feel blesed by this big house and the members of my household. Now when I get some alone time I treasure it. Every day theres someone here counting my daugter when shes up theres at any given moment 16 people here. being a ministry they hang out and i love it.It never feels crowded the house has got 4 levals the attics not finished out yet tho.We all take turns cooking an everyone helps on the housework. I really wouldnt have it any other way.
I have another prisoner being released to us after hes done at the halfway house. (he peed dirty) and had to do 4 years for a stupid non viloent charge.
If your ever in the area Slide feel free to come stay a cpl weeks at the "Lillipad" We have a guest bedroom . Were a cheerful bunch.
Wed love to have ya.
