The following is an email I just received from TrueMajority.org. Aparantly many of America's religious leaders are getting together to speak out against the war in Iraq and I was wondering if we shouldn't have a representative of the THC Ministries at each of their events to help pass the peace-pipe around?

Iraq Quagmire Is Impoverishing Our Nation
National Bus Tour Calls Budget a Moral Document

Martin Luther King Jr. knew that foreign military adventures steal resources from our cities and our children. A new generation of spiritual leaders is taking that message to America - please Help Them.

The missing piece is falling into place.

Religious leaders from across the country are beginning to raise the voice of their moral authority in a newly formed organization, Clergy and Laity Concerned About Iraq. Representing more than 50 denominations running the gamut of Christians, Jews, Muslims and then some, it was launched with a major event at New York’s Riverside Church on the anniversary of Martin Luther King’s speech that he called "Beyond Vietnam," in which he said:

"I knew that America would never invest the necessary funds or energies in rehabilitation of its poor so long as adventures like Vietnam continue to draw men and skills and money like one demonic, destructive sucking tube."

Substitute Iraq for Vietnam, and Martin’s prophetic words of April 4, 1967, apply just as painfully today.

The group has begun a national bus tour of religious leaders, with the potential to capture the attention of the media and counter the influence of the religious right. It can be a catalyst that can turn the tide of our nation’s drift to darkness instead toward the light of goodness.

But these committed, courageous religious leaders are long on faith and short on money. A national bus tour is expensive. It’ll cost $100,000 to conduct. If you want to stop this crazy war of choice, support our troops by bringing them home, and get our nation to spend its tax dollars in accordance with our values, please, please, please give what you can .

From the Riverside Church in New York,

Ben

All I can say is that I urge American THC ministers, who are in the possibility, to attend. I think it's a very good initiative.

Are the religious "left" as religious, as the religious "right"?
And who is right, the left, or, the right?
When is it right to interfere with another? Ever?
Is it right to allow others to treat women like property or commodities at the whim of their "master".
Or, is it "righter" to ignore oppression so's not to disrupt the flow of oil and money?
Is it right to say, "you can't live here, or, at all, if, you do not believe the way I do."?
Is it right to steal food from a child's mouth?

Pray, meditate, focus on positive thoughts, however it is you call it, for your leaders wherever you are, and all leaders everywhere, that they make the best decisions for all of us on this lonely planet.
And do the same that somehow we can all learn to accept each other and live peaceably in the sand box we call land.
Idea Might be cool to live under water or in space. Have to work together as a global community to make the greatest of man's dreams come true. No matter what, war, death and starvation ALL S**K!
If it truly helps people be fed and free, I'm FOR it Exclamation
Peace to all of You and Your Loved ones where ever they may be.
