Why would Judges care about Excommunication? (They don't actually believe in god and all that mumbo-jumbo, right?)
(For more info on this whole breakdown click here.) And just to finish off with our paraphrasing of our favorite Bishop: anyone "...who thinks it is acceptable for a Catholic to be pro-[medical-marijuana] is in very great error, puts his or her soul at risk, and is not in good standing with the Church. Such a person should have the integrity to acknowledge this and choose of his own volition to abstain from receiving Holy Communion until he has a change of heart."

I have always been stating that the persecution of Cannabis comes forth from ethnical/cultural cleansing/genocide by "the church" since the Inquisition and has never really ended, it only changed into a war on (entheogen) drugs.
In fact, the drugs war is an ongoing cultural genocide in order to wipe out the pre-judeo-christian cultures from this earth.
Untill this day, "the church" is doing very well in their cause and even though they do not make the laws themselves anymore, their influence is still very prominent. _________________ █ Please read the Board Rules and Posting, and you

The main reason churches oppose it is because it makes people realise what bullshitters they are! _________________ Nothing so needs reforming as other people's habits.

thank you for bringing this under a broader attention.judges should be secularand shouldnever have religion interfere with their judgements, with these kind of people it makes ya wonder, even if they die they're replaced by the same kind of religious mofo's who are never going to be sympathetic towards the plight of cannabisusersand the use of other entheogenic drugs.suppression and discouragement ,fear and disinformation are their tools.they really don't like people opening their minds and eyes.we know better, let's spread that knowledge!don't give up the fight! _________________ cannabis sacrament priestess |

I was raised Catholic and even got confirmed. I think they confirm people at that age (~16?) because they're almost adults but can't quite think for themselves yet. Sneaky. Anyway, are there any other (ex-)Catholics here? Has anyone tried to write to their local Bishop? Maybe I'll give that a try. _________________ And I will raise up for them a plant of renown,

I was raised as a Catholic---strictly. I was educated at a convent and served as an altar boy 3 times a week. I always appreciated a quick swig of wine after the service when the priest wasn't around. My parents lapsed when I was 14( they didn't agree with Pope Paul VI's rejecting the birth control pill in '66 ) and that was that. From then for me it was all hell let loose...THE 60s!!!! Yippee!!! LSD and Cannabis and the whole hippie scene pretty much did the trick, folks. And a lengthy trip to India.
Anyway, entheogens put the priests out of business with their monopolistic stranglehold on people's yearning for the sacred. The last thing the church wants is a direct line to God being available to the suffering masses. Personal experience of the divine is the last thing thing they want the faithful to have. It would free them of mind control, release them from slavish obedience to sad old men. _________________ don't pull no punches but don't push the river |
