I find it interesting that the U.S. is #2 in larges oil reserves, yet prices continue to sky rocket.

I've come up with a theory. Probably way off base but it would make sense. The war on terror isn't going so well. Funding for the war is going through the roof. So what better place to get more funding than from oil revenues of which you and I pay the ultimate price.

The US can't shoulder the cost of anything. We don't even own our monetary system. Our country is so far in debt if everyone demanded their money today, we'd be a 3rd world country tommorow.

BTW, that site seems to glorify the oil industry. It's obvious it was made by people who have a vested interest in the oil business. Statements like this make it clear "Oil and Gas are used for much more than fuel. Every time you brush your teeth (nylon bristles), drink milk or soda from a plastic container, or play a plastic CD, THANK A GEOLOGIST!"
