Where did Whiteman go wrong?
An old Indian Chief
sat in his hut on the reservation, smoking a ceremonial pipe
and eyeing two U.S. government officials sent to interview him. "Chief Two Eagles," asked one official, "you have observed the white man for 90 years.
You've seen his wars and his material wealth.
You've seen his progress, and the damage he's done."
The chief nodded in agreement. The official continued, "Considering all these events, in your opinion, where
did the white man go wrong?" The chief stared at the government officials for over a minute and then calmly replied,
"When white man found the land, Indians were running it.
- No taxes,- no debt,- plenty buffalo,- plenty beaver, -
- women did all the work,- medicine man free, -
- Indian man spent all day hunting and fishing, -
- then all night having sex..." -
Then the chief leaned back and smiled.
"Only white man dumb enough to think he could improve system like that."

A weary shepard was resting with his flock by a stream one evening, when he was approached by an Indian elder, who asked to share his campfire.
The elder asked,"Do you mind if I talk to your dog?"
The shepard thought it was a little bit nuts, but had no objection.
The elder and the dog seemed to "commune" for a moment. The elder said,"Your dog likes it when you give him time to play and loves the meaty left-over bones you save for him."
The shepard was somewhat amazed. The elder asked,"May I speak with your horse?"
"Sure," said the shepard.
The tribal elder and the horse seemed to commune for a moment.
"Your horse says he loves the way you brush him down and give him fresh oats at night. He loves the sugary apple treats you give him."
The shepard was really amazed by now. The elder asked, "May I speak to your sheep?"
"Hey!" said the shepard, "Those sheep are LIARS. They're likely to tell you ANYTHING!!!"
