If you take everything everyone says about anything.........they can all be tied together in some form. Just because science can prove we can from apes doesn't mean God isn't there. Ever see that show on the Discovery channel (I think) call "Before the Dinasours" or something like that. The odds that we should of lived back then where very slim. Even at the stage when humans where the smallest sea creature God was with the human race. Most scientist say that if we encounter another "advanced" race on another planet they will most likely of evolved from a predatory species. Think about it who is smarter the rabbit who just knows how to run, or the fox who has to out smart is prey. Odds aganist us and we still came out on top, that is how God "created" us. Or so I like to think.
I'm not saying God didn't help like wise on other planets, after all its all really just a guess. My quote tells how I know God is real, if he/she is a being or just energy matters not to me. I trust in God to take care of me and my loved ones and when a good person dies or has something bad happen to them I just pray and remind myself that God need angels and that good things do come from the bad. For me finding all of you came from my being arrested. Bad yes but more than worth it to find out so many others feel the same way I do. _________________ My belief in God comes from my personal experiences, the feelings in my heart, and the thoughts in my head. Cannabis allows my feelings to become my thoughts though which I see God in my personal experiences. |

here's my theory of the moment:

| willingness + ______ = the evolution of consciousness |
If you fill in the blank, you then have the makings of a religion. Could be the Bible or the Urantia book, could be this or that practice of Meditation, could be the Scientific method, could even be . . . the Cannabis plant!
That said, ever try moving a really heavy stone? That's what I've been doing lately - building stone walls. A big prybar works wonders! That's what I think of when I see that blank.
On the other hand, I doubt they built Stonehenge with a prybar.

| One man decides he wants to read books and study until he can prove where the earth came from. The other man walks outside and sees the birds, other animals, and plants and says, "That's proof enough, for me." |

Without going into a diatribe, my thoughts line up closest here with Merlings.
Excellent stuff posted here, but we could go deeper of course.
I will state again, I'm agnostic, which means I view God as something I put on the shelf until relevant or proven.
It doesn't mean that I don't "think" there could be a God, or Gods, or Goddesses, or so on.
If I were to throw out a belief, it would be this, after all of my studies.
God is knowledge. God is truth. God is simply "energy".
The study of energy (light), I think, is, perhaps, the study of God. |
