Hello Brothers and Sisters. I would just like to ask each of you what the processes are that you use when you ordain someone or anoint them. IE...what kind of ceremony do you use, what are the prayers that you say etc... Thank you in advance for all replies as I am going to use this as a guidline for how I conduct my affiars where these things are concerned.
Peace, Joy and Harmony Brothers and Sisters. _________________ "Whoever sheds the blood of man,

I will share my own personal style of ordaining and anointing.
I first felt a calling to become ordained in 1989. I feel little calling to proselytize and only discuss my religious beliefs/spiritual search with people I have some acquaintance with and who have stated they have some unanswered spiritual questions or have had a bad experience/feeling about organized religious services/churches they have attended ( or been forced to attend as a child.)
I explain that someone who at least has the interest to be talking to me along these lines may be experiencing what the Bible says is a “calling”. I tell them that I had/have such a calling and spiritual quest and am indeed an ordained minister and that if they take a moment of prayer or meditation they can answer whether they feel the calling to be ordained by me at this time or not.
To make sure they are serious and not waste time, I state that the conditions are that they themselves must write to the ULC and state the time they were ordained by me and procure their certificates and ID. If they do not feel the calling to do so…fine by me.
In use of sacrament/ anointing oil I have some different feelings. If I encounter someone who could benefit from it, I do mention that some people use it for pain/healing religious purposes (medical use legal in my state as well). |
