I'm an idiot. I bought the 6th generation Ipod with my engraving on it failing to notice that my Emac is not operating on the upgraded software. I can buy it for 129. us dollars however my computer won't be able to handle it as it's on it's last legs so to speak. I cannot return the Ipod as it's engraved. I really can't help but laugh. We tried on the windows computer through Linux however they haven't got the new Ipods hacked yet. Laughing

oops my husband says he may have got it!!

I'm not a fan of Ipods, any other mp3/video player works as an external data storage, as soon as a PC (or Mac) detects it you can drag&drop anything in there you want to listen to (or view), Ipods only work via totally rediculous software with many limitations.

I have one of those mini Ipods which was a gift but I wouldn't buy one myself though, I don't like that itunes software at all.

We were able to put pod casts on it through the windows computer thats runnning on Linux but we were not able to put my Itunes on it through the same way they are so evil it's sick. I used to think I was smart for being a mac user. boy have I been used!! We chose the ipod over everything else because it was supposed to work with my computer. duh... I only bought it because I have about 400 cds I carry in my van at all times and I want to get them out of there and make it easy. oh well such is life I can only laugh.
