I have just heard from Weedworld that the hemp expo in Coventry has been
cancelled.
I have been asked to pass on this message to anyone who was thinking of
going to the hemp fair
Coventry county council put a stop to the show after approval had been
granted by the police and Ricoh arena, the show has been cancelled.
All stallholders should receive a refund for stalls; Weedworld is also
trying to get compensation for those who have arranged shipments to the
UK from abroad.
This has upset Weedworld greatly, they are upset to have to cancel the
UK's third expo, and have concerns how the future of the hemp expo lies,
however they are trying to rearrange this event at the moment, however
it will now not take place until next year, such is the planning of
these massive events.
This also means the music awards will have to be rescheduled for another
time. So if you were attending to play for the awards, please do not
make your way to Coventry, the music awards will be re-planned ASAP.
I am sorry after such a long time away to be the bearer of such bad
news, I only hope that Weedworld manage to rearrange the event for you
in the near future, see Weedworld magazine's next issue for more
information, or get in touch with Weedworld if you have any corporate
arrangements.

Yeah, it sucks. I've been at all previous Hemp expos in Wembley and this would be the first time at another place. I had everything lined up already and was looking forward to meet many friends who I only get to see in person on those events. It sucks big time.

They are not the "American" Marijuana Music Awards bro, they are the "Marijuana Music Awards" and they have also been hold in Australia in the past. The Marijuana Music Awards is an international event with participants from many different countries.
It's like the Cannabis cup in a way, the Cannabis cup is hold in Amsterdam but it's not the "American" Cannabis cup eventhough it is organized by Americans but participants come from all over the world.

My mistake. Not sure where I picked up the "American" part. Just like us Americans to think that everything revolves around us, eh?
Speaking of the Cannabis Cup, we're registered as judges this year. Will be our first visit during the Cup. Looking forward to it. |
