This information was given to me by a Mongolian Shamaness by the name of Sarangerel Odigan and you can find out more at her website www.buryatmongol.com.
In the Mongol tradition Geser(Khidr) is regarded as the one who brought humankind the Shamanic teachings from Tengeri(Father Sky). It was neccesary for Abai Geser to bring these teachings which would restore balance to a world which had been desecrated and harmed by a war of the sky people.
Geser was born of a virgin but the sky being who was his father was named Han Hormasta which is the same as Ahur-Mazda of Zoarastrian fame, besides this her people have much information that would leed one to conclude that indeed the Mongolians have one of the best preserved Shamanic traditions in the world..
for anyone interested you can check out Sarangerel's books at www.amazon.com, and please let me know what you think of her website.

Hello Brother,
I appreciate you putting this up; what a great way to spread Gnosis.
Hopefully several people will get this book and read about where our rites come from. Mongolian Shamanism is a beautiful thing, as both myself and Brother Fire on the Wind can atest to.
This last weekend, two members of our congregation and my Self went up to Detroit, MI to meet with Sarangeral. While we were there we partook in several ceremonies, enjoyed our sacrament and had a great time! Sarangeral took us around town, showed us the ethnic neighborhoods (and their great food), took us to 8 Mile and did a few other things. However, most of the time we spent in her hom learning about the Geser epic and the Mongolian Shamaness' traditions, hertiage, and ceremonial rites. I can't think of a better way to spend any weekend then with your 'family.' Yes, I do consider these people to be family for we all have come together to support one another and show our Love.
While we were there, one of the members of the cong. got a 2' four person hookah (argilla) for $20 and I got a one person hand-held argilla for $10! I highly suggest you guys' go check out your local Islamic markets and look at their pipe selection... They're always reasonable, and if not they will negoitate!! Man, so many things happened this weekend I can't even start to describe all the things we did, but it was truly a fantastic way to finish off the school year (especially since it was finals time).
As Fire on the Wind said, check out Sarangeral's books and her website; they're filled with tons of uplifiting and spiritually motivating information!
Lets see what else is new around Illinois: Two weeks ago we had our Global Marijuana March out infront of the local courthouse and protested for legalization (straight up, not just religious). While we were there we smoked two s and had no complications from the Law. A funny lil' tangent: A biker rode up and told me to give him the sign I was holding so that I could take a pic of him smoking a ... I obliged. After I took the pic (which blatantly said Peoria County Courthouse above his head), he handed us his and rode off. Later, at 420 we lit up another one in celebration of a beatuiful day.
And like I said, last weekend we went up to Detroit. This weekend we were supposed to go to the Chicago Hemp Fest, but alas, it was cancelled. That's pretty much it as far as news around here.
I don't know if you all are into this, but I currently have some babies growing... They're psycilosbin cubbenis amazonia (Golden Teacher genus) and they have about two weeks until harvest time! So, soon enough I'll have a quarter of the flamest myceilum known to man!! I'm excited, obviously. Oh, and if you all are into using other entheognic substances to aid in your spiritual develoment, I'd suggest checking out www.shamanic-extracts.com They have a great selection, including shroom prints, peyote seeds, salvia divinorim (Diviner's Sage), amongst dozens of others I'm unfamiliar with... So far.
Guess that's it... All is going well here and I hope the same goes for you, wherever you are. Blessed be my Brothers and Sisters in the name of Jah Rastafari, our Heavenly Father and Elohim our Heavenly Mother. Ahmen. _________________ Peace and One Love,
