time of post issue

Im GMT -5 eastern time in the US, but whenever i post it doesnt show the right time. and well i might just be a tard but can somone help me so i get the right times? I already checked my profile and its on -5 GMT. Crying or Very sad

ok well i set it to -4GMT and now its the correct time but when i double click my windows clock and goto timezones it sais that i am in
(GMT -05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)
so i dunno *shrug*

Maybe this has to do with Daylight Savings Time. Right now that puts EST at + 1 hr.
