Ok, so I know that everyone hear loves smoking weed as much or maybe more than me, but the basis of Christianity is NOT on weed.
Everyone here makes weed seem like its the only plant God gave us, and makes it seem like weed is a god itself...this is not the case.
We should follow the Bible, and live good Christian lives, putting God and the Bible above Cannabis. It is ok to use Cannabis, but it isn't as important as everyone makes it as. I'm a Christian before a pot user, not a pot user before a Christian.
Also, a side note on Kaneh-Bosm: Though it is highly debated weather or not hemp and kaneh-bosm are 1 and the same, it doesnt matter. I believe, for one, that Kaneh-Bosm is Calamus, because i believe the KJV Bible is without error, and my KJV says calamus. However, it doesn't matter at all, because just to say....
CALAMUS IS A HALLUCENEGEN
So therefore if its ok to use Calamus, then Cannabis, aswell as other psycho-active plants should be fine to use. |

Cannabis has been used as a sacrament for longer than Christianity has existed.
Furthermore, if you put the the Bible above cannabis, the bible says:
Romans 13
1Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
So by disobeying the powers that be, the government, you are not obeying the bible.
If you smoke cannabis then you are cherry-picking what you want to believe just like we are. _________________ We will succeed unless we quit. |

of course you are, because even if you are a Cradle Catholic the only way you will have found Cannabis is by looking for it.
We have Prohibition as a kind of Original Sin, and we know that the Christianisation of Europe - or vice versa - was not achieved without severe wounds, so it can by no means be excluded that something essential may have been lost in the cultureshock.
I´d put this differently, Jesus says give God what is for God and give the government what is for the government, how would you apply Matt 22,15-22 to Cannabis? |

You might want to read this article:

Jesus on the War on Drugs (and All Forms of
Prohibition)
In the modern era one of the most virulent scourges which has plagued the Western
societies in particular is the so-called “drug problem,” i.e., the use of, and combating
the use of, illegal drugs. Yet, why has the “drug problem” only become such a problem
within, predominately, the last century? What is the cause of this? But first, before
we answer this question, the more important issue from the Christian’s viewpoint is:
what is Jesus’s position on the so-called “drug problem,” i.e., whether it is called the
“War on Drugs” or “Prohibition”? More directly, what does Jesus have to say about
prohibiting by law the use of certain drugs, or inebriants?
Most people at this point will probably be thinking that the issue only concerns
which drugs or inebriants ought to be prohibited and how severe the penalty for their
use should be—as those calling themselves Christians have traditionally been at the
forefront of not only the Prohibition of alcohol during the ’20s in the U.S., but so also
with the continuing War on Drugs. So, first of all, what does Jesus have to say about
which substances ought to be outlawed?
On this question Jesus is quite clear about it in no uncertain terms—although the
answer may come as a surprise to some: absolutely no law ought to exist prohibiting
the consumption of any substance whatsoever! Jesus says quite clearly in the strongest
of terms that there is no substance a man can consume that could possibly defile
him—thus we read in Mark 7:15–23:
| Quote: |
“There is nothing that enters a man from outside which can defile him;
but the things which come out of him, those are the things that defile a
man. If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear!”
When He had entered a house away from the crowd, His disciples
asked Him concerning the parable. So He said to them, “Are you thus
without understanding also? Do you not perceive that whatever enters a
man from outside cannot defile him, because it does not enter his heart
but his stomach, and is eliminated, thus purifying all foods?” And He
said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within,
out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications,
murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye,
blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and
defile a man.” |
This is the only directive that Jesus gives in the entire Bible as to what substances should be, or should not be, prohibited. Some may claim that Jesus was only talking
about food in the above, and not psychotropic drugs. Yet if this were truly the case
then Jesus’s above claim is a false one: Jesus saying “There is nothing that enters a
man from outside which can defile him” would be wrong, for then there would indeed |
There's a lot more in that article, where it comes down to is that nowhere in the bible the use of 'drugs' is considered to be prohibited. _________________ █ Please read the Board Rules and Posting, and you

Hello and welcome to our forums brother bulletz. As your title implies, yes, there is much more to christianity than cannabis. There is war, much like your handle implies, brother bulletz. From the very inception of the religion, there has been war.

Now, as to the latter suggestions that you have made, I suggest that you search and read our forums a bit more carefully for certainly as the sun shall rise tomorrow we have discussed many other organic sacrements here. Also, you will see that the suggestion that we should all know the bible and live good christian lives is mute since many of us here are not christians, nor do we pretend to be. I for one, agree with Neitsche, 'Religion is the opiate of the masses.' If you know God, who needs the bible, the torah, the koran or religion?
Pax to you and I hope you return and give us a proper introduction to yourself at the Welcome Forum. _________________ "Penalties against the possession of a drug

| If you know God, you will love to hear what comes from him. This is the Law, to love God above everything else, and your neighbour as yourself. |

| of course putting something before God, a plant or a book, is breaking the first commandment. KJV was an homosexual mason. The Bible could not be without error. If God tells you something is not his Word and you don´t believe him, you are disobeying God to obey a book or what a pastor told you. |

Even the stork in the sky
knows her appointed seasons,
and the dove, the swift and the thrush
observe the time of their migration.
But my people do not know
the requirements of the LORD.
8 " 'How can you say, "We are wise,
for we have the law of the LORD,"
when actually the lying pen of the scribes
has handled it falsely?
9 The wise will be put to shame;
they will be dismayed and trapped.
Since they have rejected the word of the LORD,
what kind of wisdom do they have?

And, by the same token, if you know God you would realize how ridiculous it is to try to reduce the Infinite into a noun like 'him' or 'her' or 'it'.
To hear the voice of God, all one need to is quiet oneself. Rid your mind of all other distractions. _________________ "Penalties against the possession of a drug

| On the matter of the KJV you should read the letter of introduction by the translators who readily admit that there are errors in the translation. It is also written with many hidden allagorys and idioms of the Elisabethan times And the original King James contained 80 books not the now 66 in its present form. Far to many people want to accept the words and traditions of man and not read and understand the written word. The manuscripts that make up the Bible come from Hebrew Greek Caldean Aramic and Latin so some things just don't translate well. |

| how would you refer to God with human language? the language of the Spirit makes you know better the Lord than the written language. The thoughts of the programmer are more vast than the thoughts of the program. The program can not reach more than what it has been programmed for. |
