Hey ya'll,
Got this off of Barbra Streisand's site. Very interesting the disparity between the Reps. and the Dems in the fields of war.....

The Principal Architects of War

I find it appalling that the Bush Administration, most of whose members have never served in the military, have questioned the patriotism of Democrats that oppose the President's handling of the war in Iraq. Many of these Democratic leaders have clearly shown their bravery and loyalty in combat through their own military service. The architects of the Iraq war and the Republicans who stand by the Bush administration with unwavering support for its policies of pre-emptive war have painstakingly tried to deflect attention away from their own lack of military service. The policy of pre-emptive war first became part of the debate in a report called The Project for a New American Century, published in 2000 (written in 1999) and supported by many currently serving in the Bush Administration. The document promotes the ideology of total U.S. World domination through force. The Defense Policy Board, composed of an influential group of advisors to the Pentagon, review and assess the country's strategic defense policies. Under the leadership of Richard Perle, who never served in the military, the Defense Policy Board has been transformed from a nonpartisan advisory body into a megaphone for the rigid policy preferences of the secretary of defense, Donald Rumsfeld. The people that are making decisions to go to war, have never been there themselves! I'll let you decide, based on the litany of hard facts below, who you feel is more experienced and credible to make decisions on what circumstances warrant putting our young men and women into battle...those who have experienced war firsthand or those who just have seen it on TV.

I remember so well the wonderful graffitti messages that were spread all over the place during my Navy-'Nam days...

We the unwilling
Led by the unqualified
To do the unthinkable
For the uncaring...

It's even more appropriate now.

We need a REVOLUTION

Revolution
by Beatles

Album : Past Masters Volume Two,
1967-1970 (Blue album)

You say you want a revolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
You tell me that it's evolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
But when you talk about destruction
Don't you know that you can count me out
Don't you know it's gonna be all right
all right, all right

You say you got a real solution
Well, you know
We'd all love to see the plan
You ask me for a contribution
Well, you know
We're doing what we can
But when you want money
for people with minds that hate
All I can tell is brother you have to wait
Don't you know it's gonna be all right
all right, all right
Ah

ah, ah, ah, ah, ah...

You say you'll change the constitution
Well, you know
We all want to change your head
You tell me it's the institution
Well, you know
You better free you mind instead
But if you go carrying pictures of chairman Mao
You ain't going to make it with anyone anyhow
Don't you know it's gonna be all right
all right, all right
all right, all right, all right
all right, all right, all right

Wow Ben, that's heavy.....I sorta remember it from the days of 'Nam....we were protesting and trying to keep the peace at Arizona State U.in '68-'69!

Remember "What if somebody gave a war, and nobody came...? It was penned by Leslie Parrish.

I had forgotten that Leslie Parrish had done that.

War is not healthy for children and other living things was also one of my favorites.

Yep. I think My Pet Goat and a wrinkled, borrowed copy of CLIFF'S NOTES HAMLET are all the books he ever read...and we're not too sure if he ever finished the Cliff's Notes....or gave it back.
