Oh but ain't that America for you and me
Ain't that America we're someting to see baby
Ain't that America, home of the free
Little pink houses for you and me...

I think the first casualty inflicted by christians was when Peter attacked a servant of the romans when they came to arrest Jesus. It has escalated from there. Damn what a violent intolerant bunch of people. _________________ Once a man sees his immortality, there is no turning back. He is on the Quest of Knowledge whether he knows it or wants it. What an ignorant bunch of people. I like how they lie like hell to have a reason to be vindictive and kick the girl off the basketball team. So much for christian morals on that one. _________________ -Brother Adam (we are all one family)

All he did was sever the ear of the guard, which as tales would have it was healed by Jesus after the event.
Lol.. so you know, cutting off an ear doesnt make it appropriate counter measures to round up, torture, and murder every Christian in your entire Empire through the most twisted ways possible. Like being ate alive by starved lions and tigers, burnt alive, crucified, hung, just about anything you can think of, the Romans killed someone that way. |

Yep, it also was the Romans who invented Christianity and maybe that's what inspired them to kill pagans by burning them alive at the stake, torturing them (Christians have invented the most cruel torure machines, if you are ever in Amsterdam, vist the torture museum), drawning them, etc.
Here are a few examples:
| Quote: |
Just a few of the tortures that 'heretics' went through:
Skin flayed from head, face and body
Noses, nipples and breasts pulled off with red hot pinchers
Fried or boiled alive or roasted on a spit
Mouth slit back to ears
Crucified upside down
Thrown from windows on to spears
Arms cut off
Torturous slow burning, soles of feet, then up to ankles, mid-calf, etc.
Women stripped, hung from trees by their hair and scourged or left hanging by one leg until dead
Tourniquet placed on head and twisted until eyes came out

That's how they "Christianized" Europe. _________________

i realize that medieval and renaissance times in Europe were terrible with the Catholic (Read: Roman) Church doing all the terrible things you mentioned.
i am a Monotheist, a Christian, but of a philosophy that was thought heretical and directly against the trinity so they would've killed me too back then had i been living.
this makes me feel no ill to Christianity as a whole, rather, it makes me feel ill toward the Catholic Church, which has incorrect doctrines in my opinion. |
