"Then, there are the elements: water, the anointing with oil, the white garment and the flame of the candle.
Water is the symbol of life: Baptism is new life in Christ. The oil is the symbol of strength, health and beauty, for it truly is beautiful to live in communion with Christ. Then, there is the white garment, as an expression of the culture of beauty, of the culture of life. And lastly, the flame of the candle is an expression of the truth that shines out in the darkness of history and points out to us who we are, where we come from and where we must go."

So why does the Bible mention the tree of Life, on both sides of the river?
Is the "tree of life" not the symbol of life?
Sure the tree needs water, but what is water with out life...that comes from the tree...the tree gives breath (oxygen) by splitting the water...thus in this I see the tree and the water are symbolic symbiants.
Christ said the blood and the water is the life..so what should we believe here?
As for the yes and No part...Logics!
May your yes mean yes, and your nomean no!
So that the logical mind may not be confused!
Did God say that all the plants were good....YES!
Did God say not to eat from the tree at the center of the garden...YES!
Did God not perscribe Death to those who ate of this tree....Yes!
Did God not send them into a alternate reality called Death, out side of Eden...Yes!
Did God not give instructions genesis 3:17 to complete and restore, and eat of it all the days of their lives...Yes!
Did God not give commandments to follow, and word and instruction on how to return to Eden...yes!
Did God not send the Christ to show the way, and the word, and the light of this truth...yes!
Does god want us to sin?...no!
So why are we still living in death?...sin!=disobedience to God's will and words, and instruction, and commandments!
"those who do the will of my father shall enter Heaven" Christ said..and God intended us to be helpers in the garden of Eden...
But we are not in Eden anymore...and God gave instruction to eat of it all the days of our lives, so we become smart enough to figure out the opposite formula to open the door to Eden our selves!
By sinlessly putting back that which was taken in sin!
By proving we are sinless, and have past the tests!
By upholding all the commandments, and doing all the instructions given, that don't conflict with the commandments, and Christ!
SO God simplified things...he said don't sin, and no sacrifice is needed!
Do what I told you at first, in this reality Gen 3:17 sinlessly and restore Eden on this side of the river of time! Acts 3:21. Rev 17:17
The baptisum cleans the body, mind and spirit of sin, so we can sow the seed, and restore the garden like God said to do!
WHen we complete this task, we will then be tested!
Like the jews in the wilderness...that was the promised land, God provided the water, and they were told to provide the seeds...and together they were going to open the door to Eden...but the Jew went to war , taking the lands of others, coveting, killing, pointing fingers and calling names!...violence, bloodshed, disobedience, Idolatry...All these things went against God's better judgment..so they lost God's support! |

As a historical fact, the bible is as good as any other fairy tale.
Besides that I learned not to trust men who like to walk around wearing long dresses and do not have girlfriends.
