The Drug War and Tarnished Badges by Pete Guither
Drug WarRant September 30, 2006

This is just one of the many destructive influences of the drug war. Just as it attracts criminals to the profits of drug trafficking, it attracts and feeds the corruptible in public service. And both prey upon the citizens whose hard-earned tax money pays for the war.

"At the end of every shift, one hears officers extolling the virtues of apprehending a 'hype,' 'junkie'or 'druggie.' Since these tools for financial benefit, career advancement, and peer status are no longer valued as people, officers need not trouble themselves with ethical questions."
Gil Puder, Vancouver Police Officer, 1998

The Ganjawar Incentive is to win the goal,
not in how to play the game... That's for Historians later.
The goal is far, and they tell us we must stay the coarse.
For working stiff cop promotions, raises and bennies,
these new lackeys of the District Attorney.
Making the case by any means necessary,
to move on up the celebrity ladder.
Onto Court TV or as a Faux News "expert".

Fines, probation, parole, prison, poisons and pisstastes,
generating dollars for the DEAth Merchants.
Confiscating kids, boats, bongs and cars.
Forfeited Farms, being bought up by Ag Factories,
Exporting profit, leaving pollution for us to clean up.
Forfeited boomer retirement homes for the Banksters,
and Sheriffs Depts. Busting them for ditchweed.
On a warrant obtained by anonymous tip.

Another American homeless family deterrent.
Taxes for the Reefermad Politicals,
big black budgets for the Copshops.
Billions for New Weird Odor Korpses,
keeping natural cannabis products off of the market.

More fear for the isolationists,
to justify Constitutional "amen"ments.
More bogus church laws,
segregating the masses,
maintaining dysfunction.
DEAth's bipartisan perpetuation,
known as the Ganjawar.
