ok.so how about this.
a church service where everyone is allowed to bring their own music,own poetry,own readings or just their own life philosophy.a church who,s moto is "to do the right thing" , to do good.we could raise money and other charitable donations such as clothes food or other goods and those with applicable skills could donate a couple of hours of their time to help any underprivaleged members of our society.look around,where-ever you are there are a vast amount of people who could benefit from the kind of right thinking people you all are.

Just thought mabey now we can also add to this discussion in this thread, marriage ceremony's and sacred fire and holy annointing consecration, cleansing and/or purification rituals/rites of passage, house blesings etc. etc.? What do you all think? Any thoughts, ideas and/or suggestions out there? Confused

Services are held at my ministry each and every time we have a visitor. We partake of the sacrament together in a safe, peaceful environment. The whole living room of my home is open to anyone who would like to worship in a particular manner, whereas, I only need to smoke to maintain my awareness level, and stay connected. Usually, our gatherings are centered around discussion of many different religious beliefs, and the differences in our own. Some members here are christian, others are not. Should anyone feel the need for prayer, or wish to lead the whole group in prayer, the floor is open. I will even pray along to foster the power of intention and the power that our combined energies put out....I just skip over the "lord, god, etc" parts.

I'm not into holding some big sermon, but you will often find me on the soapbox preaching about both the ministry, the ULC, our rights as humans and citizens of this planet etc. If that qualifies as preaching, I am more than fulfilling my duties!

The point is, do what feels right for your ministry. Nobody here is going to judge you on it, and there's no reason you have to act like a church to be legit. Be a minister, support your people. Be the leg they have to stand on...I'm sure you all know that one minister that just gives and gives and won't quit. Be selfless in all your business with the ministry. Make your ministry a place where pagans, christians, buddhists, or any other faith will feel comfortable....

If I become rich off the many hundreds of things Im doing right now to try to become rich, I want to visit every THC minister in the world.

then, I will return to Colorado and build a huge sanctuary in the woods, Complete with an Arcade, hash bar, and couches everywhere for my fellow stoner ministers to crash on. I will hold services around ten every sunday morning, and we will discuss the Broncos chances to win it all. Then, the europeans and australians can get together and discuss soccor. Then, the canadians and americans can argue over hockey. Around two, we can have nap time, then cookies, then we break out the sacred gravity bong

Im pretty fucking stoned here. I got a half of shwagg to get me through until tommorow when I could get some nugs, and the half of shwagg turned out to be really good.

Have any of you been to a Dead concert? This religious gathering you suppose is ongoing and travels. I was reading Ed McGaa, Eagal Man, a religious author, who was discussing how you can tell the tribes and their religions by their songs. He may hear another group in a ceremony, singing their songs, and he may wish to join them but that would not be appropriate. Their songs are their own.

We too can tell our tribes by their songs. As a Sufi, I have to say it is all about the music.
