I was wondering is there any actual church services designed for the THC Ministry? Being a Minister and prophet of Cannabis I would be more than happy to conduct a Cannabis Church Sermon, following the rituals of the old Testament. I am a strong a firm believer that Cannabis is my LORD. I love Cannabis, the plant and the culture. WIth an organized church service we can really get the THC-Ministry moving. I have so many ideas concepts and I really want to worship Cannabis as it is written. Anyone up for Church, let me know.
Peace

I am very interested in your idea. I have had some of my own. I know Ive asked befor but if there is any one in my area (Albany NY) Id be more than happy to lend my dwellings as a place of worship or go to a pre established church. Some info for the minister starting out would be nice like some ritual te4mplates or something. _________________ "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."

i think that would be good to have. They have something on the ULC products list, I am quite certain it was called a star book for ministers and it has a list rituals, ceremonies etc also. The last ULC news letter also had a request for any one of us who would like to add to it, a book being written by ULC ministers themselves that includes all these things and i think if we can get some ideas and thoughts we could also participate in this as they do come from various sorts of traditions and all.
The ULC also has a place for all ministers to submit a sermon to be posted if anyone is interested in that and that could help get alot of infoormation and education out there or mabey others.
Lets see what we can come up with. _________________ Much Love and Respect,

Not that I condemn inhaling Cannabis, I believe that the concept of the temple church seremony was to fill the temple with the cloud/spirit of the cannabis plant without having to inhale. Im thinking this could be achieved with some sort of coals/lighting methods used to burn cannabis incense, hashish, and buds. Key is to create a cloud in the temple therefore the whole congregation becomes anointed in unison. I would also expect there to be Cannabis Tea/Wine drinks as a type of offering for a congregation and also some sort of Cannabis breads/cakes/cookies/brownies as an offering. Add music, prayer, words of wisdom, and there you have it..Church. Repeat the ceremony every Sabbath/Saturday and progressively adjust until you achieve a proper acceptance.
Heres what you need:
A Saturday
A Cannabis Congregation
Lots of Cannabis
A Room/Building/Temple
An Altar
An ARK, Some type of case to place your Holy Cannabis in on your altar
Lights, Lighters, Coals
Lots of Cannagoodies teas, cakes, breads to also be placed on the altar
Ushers to Usher the congregation
A Minister
A M.C.
Some form of Music, drums, instruments, choir, turntables
A mic/speakers
Now thats Church.
Calling on Jesus and giving a pastor your money is ....umm well im not sure what they are doing.
Peace, Love, Jah

Hey, thats pretty good, i absolutely love that idea. I was thiking about some nicely made hashish and kaneh flower incense sticks. As well as something sorta like as you stated tray or container of some sort for flower and flower with fully mature nutritious seed or fruit as i even like to refer to it as. I think we should have allot of places, church sanctuaries, shrines etc. whatever we can get done and if we all work at it i think we can acomplish a great deal with this and allot of others. I do however believe in ingesting also directly in church congregation and else, after all it is holy flower, holy smoke, holy incense, fiber paper fuel food shelter etc. which to me every miraculous benefit ( considering it to be the most beneficial natural rescource on the face of the earth that can save the whole planet and life along with ecosystems on it from all its problems and crisses whatsoever, hallelujua! ) is all sacrament. I have much cannabis hemp clothing, foods which i sometimes lack, shampoo, soap, socks etc. etc. and am always trying to expand that in every way possible on a daily basis.
Let me know what you all think. _________________ Much Love and Respect,

How could I forget the Holy Anointing Oil, which is an important part of a Cannabis church service. Its important for the minister to anoint the congregation with the Holy Anointing Oil, followed by the bread, then the wine, all while the spirit of the cannabis plant fills the tabernacle.

Yea, I'm very much interested in that type of fellowship & worship.
I am 41 years old and am fed-up with having to hide my chosen free practice/expression of religion.
I live in northern West Virginia & would like to be able to get together with other people that share and accept the truth.
Let's get together, members...come out of the cannabis closet and practice/exercise our religious and constitutional rights.
Rasgeese, your suggestion of a cannabis-religious service sounds like a winner...go with the free-flow of the spirit and moment; always being free to change things so as to not get in a "rut" as so many "traditional" ceremonies do.
Lets keep this thread going...

Unlike some of you, I will not be worshiping the cannabis plant. It is sacred, but not an idol to me. However, that's beside the point.
As for services....I'm in the same boat. I want to hold sermons for the members here (steady trying to get more!) where each may come once a week to bring and receive gifts of cannabis hemp in all it's forms while having the chance to freely partake of the sacrament at will, in a safe place, amongst good, peaceful company.
I think holding a service where each member brings cannabis in some form or another to freely gift to another person is a good idea, and is what I plan to do eventually. This will help ensure the spirit of giving we all revere the plant for is carried on in our daily/weekly practices.
Due to the many different faiths behind our religion, I wouldn't want to hold a christian service, or in my case, a service for spiritual naturalists like myself and possibly turn off other potential members.
I'm trying to find a way to create a weekly service that allows everyone to partake of cannabis and sharing without involving specific religious beliefs. We are a ministry based on freedom of religion for each individual, and I think it's important our services reflect that. Another important factor, if you have christian members who would like to attend the services, they may not take to well to worshiping the plant itself over thier god because thier religion is strictly against it. Myself, I wouldn't want to have to eat bread or drink wine in the name of any god either, those parts of the service would make me uncomfortable......
SO....I am deffinitely open to more suggestions in this area, and I think this thread should continue on for a good while! How do we as ministers hold a service that all can enjoy regardless of thier underlying individual beliefs? I think my first idea of everyone gifting each other with cannabis/hemp is a good place to start. Then maybe a period of toking followed by a time for each individual to enjoy thier own spiritual revalations, and then what????
I love the ideas, let's keep em coming! |

So, what about thanking, honoring and affirming the Earth Mother's gifts of oil and sacrament while partaking with other people or alone.
That's not 'idol worship' is it? _________________ Fyrefly1

Exactly Fyrefly. I have no problem with those who wish to worship...well, whatever they want, heh!
I'm simply looking at a way to hold a service that all may partake in without having thier personal religious beliefs offended.
I would just hate to ask members of the group to thank mother earth because that would be blashpemy to some. I also wouldn't want to ask an aethiest to bow thier head in prayer to a diety and give thanks.
Ideally, I would like to have a service where the sacrament is the only thing it revolves around. Maybe as another part of the services here I could hold a news reading session where members are encouraged to bring in news as it relates to cannabis to share with others as well, and again, set aside a short time for "personal revalation" where each person has an opportunity to pray, reflect, or meditate silently with the group. Of course followed by another session of inhaling the enlightening smoke of the cannabis plant!
The key in my eyes is to do it in a way that the services are kept nuetral so that all who wish to attend may do so in comfort and without fear of being subject to worship in a manner inconsistent with thier beliefs. |

I've done an awful lot of church in my life and by far the best approach with your 'people' is honesty.
It may seem awkward at first asking them what they believe in but you gotta do it so as to not step on anyones' toes...
Then just step out and take the lead by example...do what you do best and if people like it they'll follow your lead.
If not, then you'll have a nice discussion about it where everyone becomes enlightened!
Good luck! _________________ Fyrefly1
