Hi guys,
I would be extremely grateful if you could share with me some of your knowledge about different starins of cannabis.
The situation is like this.
I'm coming to Amsterdam this weekend and it's my first visit in Holland. I'd like to finally try your famous cannabis however I do not know which brand / sort to buy.
Could you please recommend something good, funny which will not make me want to sleep (I'd like to smoke some nice weed during visiting the city of Amsterdam).
I will be more then garteful for any suggestions.

Since everyone's biochemistry is different, and more importantly everyone's intentions are uniquely their own, I would suggest trying several. The price isn't too bad if you look around a bit and don't buy from the first coffeehouse that you visit. Try some of the little ones down the alleys.
I also have no idea what your experience or tollerance towards THC either, thus making it very difficult to make any suggestions. Personally, when I was first starting out, I really enjoyed the smoothness and "lightness" of citrus, while purple haze gave me more of a stoned feel. I've always wanted to try morrocian or african. _________________ "Penalties against the possession of a drug

Your a kid in a candy store:) Go have fun. Ask the man or gal behind the counter what they recommends and try it. The herb supply comes from a lot of people so quality over the same strain will very.

Theres thousands of strains, many great ones, it really all depends on whats being grown at the moment.
However, if you are concerned about smoking something that won't make you drowsy, ask for a sativa strain. There are two types of cannabis, indica (body high, stoned feeling, etc.) and sativa (head high, giggles, etc.), so if you want to do a full sampling, smoke your sativa's during the day, and get yourself some indica for smoking when you get back to your room at night.
Hybrids are also available, but I personally like switching it up between indicas and sativas, rather then smoking hybrids which are a mix of both.
Have a great trip! |

I recently had the priviledge of trying some pure moraccian hash. God was that good. It tasted like fresh, sweet pot, just picked and dried. But the effect was strongly sedative and creative. I had loads of great ideas, but no energy to accomplish anything other than sleep and meditate. It was also strange in that I could go REAL deep in meditation, yet I was very much aware of my surroundings. _________________ "Penalties against the possession of a drug

Hashish has always been popular among cultural creatives...

Turkish Smoking Parlors
World Fairs and International Expositions from the 1860s through the early 1900s often featured a popular Turkish Hashish Smoking exposition and concession. Hashish smoking was entirely new for Americans; its effects came on much faster. However, smoking hashish was only about one-third as strong or long lasting as orally ingesting the cannabis extract medicines that even American children were regularly prescribed.
At America's giant 100-year 1876 Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia, fair goers took their friends and family to partake (smoke) at the extremely popular Turkish Hashish Exposition, so as to "enhance" their fair experience.
By 1883, similar hashish smoking parlors were legally open in every major American city, including New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, St. Louis, New Orleans, and so on.
The Police Gazette estimated there were more than 500 hashish smoking parlors in New York City in the 1880s and it was estimated by the NYPD that there were still 500 or more hashish parlors in N.Y.C. in the 1920s. There were more of these parlors than there were "speakeasys" during the same 1920s alcohol prohibition period.

The New York Hashish Club opened in the 1840s and was quite popular with the writers and artists of the period.

Now my whole life makes snese! I was born thinking that all that free-thinking about THC in my previous lifetimes would have promoted greater awareness in my future!....
....
....apparentely not!!! But at least now a small part of my life makes some sense. _________________ "Penalties against the possession of a drug

Hello..
Firstly I would like to say a big 'hello' to all forum members and hope we can have some good discussions in the future.
Going back to the original question (for members that have the question)....Try a pre-rolled Thai first and build up gradually to something stronger...Price is a good indicator of strength the more expensive and the less you get is the stronger weed. |

Answer: long seasons sativa seems best. When a of Columbian "brown", 1975 - commercial Columbian, at the time was it called, as opposed to Columbian Gold, goes out, it still has a nice boquet and taste that resinated part. It usually burns well.
All good ones like Thai stick, Columbian Gold, Panama Red, Kona Gold (smoked better Hawaiian in Virginia in 80's then in Hawaii in the 2000's) race into lungs and expand and taste wonderful. And sativas are reported to grow as high as twenty five feet.
Indica is bitter and smells like a Mexican when it goes out and I find them to cause allergy reactions because they are moldy often. Indica is the result of greed again and explotation and the emphsis of growers indoorers, outdoorers and short seasoners because of the thick bulk, sativas are more stringy but can puff out some. I hate indica delivering the THC and the drowsy part. It does not burn in s to often well for me also at times.
Here is some strain/species information: Indica, Sativa, Ruberalis ....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannabis
Cannabis gigantea hort. -> Cannabis sativa L. subsp. sativa
Cannabis indica Lam. s -> Cannabis sativa L. subsp. indica (Lam.) E. Small & Cronquist
Cannabis indica Lam. var. kafiristanica Vavilov -> Cannabis sativa L. subsp. indica (Lam.) E.Small & Cronquist var. kafiristanica (Vavilov) E.Small & Cronquist
Cannabis ruderalis Janisch. -> Cannabis sativa L. subsp. spontanea Serebr.
Cannabis sativa L.
Cannabis sativa L. f. ruderalis (Janisch.) Chu -> Cannabis sativa L. subsp. spontanea Serebr.
Cannabis sativa L. subsp. indica (Lam.) E. Small & Cronquist
Cannabis sativa L. subsp. indica (Lam.) E.Small & Cronquist var. indica -> Cannabis sativa L. subsp. indica (Lam.) E. Small & Cronquist
Cannabis sativa L. subsp. indica (Lam.) E.Small & Cronquist var. kafiristanica (Vavilov) E.Small & Cronquist
Cannabis sativa L. subsp. ruderalis Janisch. -> Cannabis sativa L. subsp. spontanea Serebr.
Cannabis sativa L. subsp. sativa
Cannabis sativa L. subsp. sativa var. spontanea Vavilov -> Cannabis sativa L. subsp. spontanea Serebr.
Cannabis sativa L. subsp. spontanea Serebrjakova -> Cannabis sativa L. subsp. spontanea Serebr.
Cannabis sativa L. var. afghanica hort. -> ?
Cannabis sativa L. var. indica Lam. -> Cannabis sativa L. subsp. indica (Lam.) E. Small & Cronquist
Cannabis sativa L. var. kafiristanica ( Vavilov ) E.Small & A.Cronquist -> Cannabis sativa L. subsp. indica (Lam.) E.Small & Cronquist var. kafiristanica (Vavilov) E.Small & Cronquist
Cannabis sativa L. var. spontanea Vavilov -> Cannabis sativa L. subsp. spontanea Serebr
Question: About hash, some will just trip you, like they say of the Nepal kind, some is opiated (mixed with opieum) Is there anything beyond concentrating the thc tricomes through silk screening that changes the nature of the product again besides reducing the bulk. I added some blond hash to a hand rolled cigerette and held my hits, was pretty much gasping for air and REAL stoned after that one. Not real quick to mix them again that way, if ever. And finally to you "doobie newbie". After eating five grams of hash, blond, what a mouth full of *hit that was untill it rinsed off my teeth, I was tripping.
And funny enough, after my first visit to a cafe in Amsterdam and after tokeing, I walked down the street, forgot where the car was parked and I had to fight my arms from rising up on their own like angel wings coming up. I did not panic, especially when the police were seen, they are cool there. I just went into a bar, got a beer, bought some strawberries next door, took a rest and then was able to retrace my virgin steps back to a rent a car I hardly knew.
