Starting August 26th: Monthly LAN Parties...

Just a quick note to let everyone know that we've arranged with Cyber City to host a LAN Party the last friday of every month.

Cyber City (http://www.cybercitylakewood.com) is a Cyber-Cafe in Lakewood with access to 12 networked computers, 2 big screen tvs and 2 projection tvs all set up for unlimited game play. We'll be renting the place for the whole night, so everyone that shows up to meet the teachers, students and parents that belong to our co-op will be able to eat, drink and play all night.

Watch, also, for upcoming open-mics and drum circles that will be slated for other locations throughout the month.

We're also just $800 away from acquiring a used school bus (that will need some artistic refurbishing, I'm sure) that we'll be converting into a travelling drum circle/barbecue/art bus. So if you want to be even more involved, the Co-Op is hosting a Family-Style Barbecue every Saturday. For more info on that, please email pateticus@cox.net

Would anyone be interested in making these LAN Parties an opportunity for us to meet in the live chat room and network further?

By networking over the internet, we could form a network of nonprofit organizations that would be working to support eachother through mutual exchange of skills and resources. A barter-system economy.
