Day 2;

Despite intermittent heavy rains David and Jack made a very good attempt to reach their second target. They fell 5 miles short but David is very confident that they will make up the time over the next couple of days.

Legs and feet are beginning to feel some of the pace.

My plans to go down with a driver fell apart Friday. I put Operation Viper Scramble into effect late Friday afternoon.

I'll be joining the lads tomorrow around tea time if all goes well with the trains. I'll be following the lads along in a car so I'll be able to lighten what they are carrying and keep them fed and watered.

I'll try put up todays report (Day 3) before I leave.

David and his son continue to do very well. Although they are within target range they remain still 5 miles behind. Legs are beginning to ache and feet are beginning to blister.

Spirits remain high.

I'll be with them tomorrow night. Don't expect to hear any more now until the weekend, unless I can gain internet access somewhere along the path.

www.everyonedoesit.com (EDIT) members raised money to bring one of the members over from Canada. He was picked up by Customs and Immigration and promptly sent home again, no reason.

Your help, in any form, would be apreciated in getting him to the U.K. before the end of this summer.

After some problems, tonight we are back in Brighton.

i had a crash, bust two tyres. Got it all fixed, then we got another puncture.

Couldn't find a B&B.

Limped into Brighton via every garage on the way to keepthe tyre up.

We arn't done and will beat the Henge tomorrow.

Still have to get the car fixed up.

Going to aim for getting to Amesbury and setting up a meeting camp for the folks from EDIT - food & beer before final stretch to the Henge.
