How did 'merika get to be so scary and paranoid? Shocked

I have become ashamed of the way my government treats the world and its own citizens.

I really mean that it hurts me down to my soul. I am amazed at what has come to be. Crying or Very sad

My favorite Cheech character is his cousin "Red" the Tex-Mex, happy-go-lucky guy who is totally oblivious to the dangers going on around him, and gets through the hairest situations completely unscathed.

Having grown up in Texas, I'd swear I "know" that guy....

And as far as being oblivious...I think that's the basic nature of reality. Selective Perception. What we think about, expands.

BTW....if I go "silent" over the weekend, blame the hurricane. We were without power for eight days just a couple of weeks ago due to Frances, not to say that I felt personally disempowered...but that's another topic altogether.

We've got water, canned food and ice so, having taken care of the basics in a relatively "detached" manner, I shall utilize Selective Perception and remain blissfully oblivious to the weather. Works for me everytime.

I am truly sick at heart. What my country taught me in its schools about what 'merica stands for is now a lie-obvious to the world.

I feel the same pain as Mystic Power about How we 'merikans project our image to the world.

Uncle Sam is now a sadistic inbred hillbilly bitch in Abhu Gahrib prison(or however that rathole is spelled)complete with moronic grin and a cig hangin outa her mouth. In IRAQ pointing at prisoners private parts because SAUDI terrorists attacked.Thanx lots-that's the way to show the flag.

I have a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye to have to realise what we have become. No woner to me that the nation is in denial about current affairs-- too bizarre to believe and too painful to admit.

Trust me dear brothers and sisters, no one can "blame" the American people for a coup that happened in their country. If it had been a military coup I am sure the American people would have reacted differently and had kicked their butts out of the government but it didn't happen that way.

They must have been planning that 9/11 thing years in advance and just the same way as Hitler did with the Reichsdag, they have staged a terrorist attack on America to get the people in shock and sneaked in with their own fascist agenda, the patriot act, the invasion of Afghanistan (remember "Bin Laden"?) and Iraq, The Rave act, the protest zones/cages, roadblocks, all was set into motion before anyone had the chance to recover from the first shock of the terrible event and most of all, to start thinking rational instead of reacting mostly lead by emotions.

All this must have been planned and looking back it becomes more clear every day, the 9/11 cover-up-commission has been doing such an obvious job that there are more open questions now than before they started. Investigation? I fail to see what investigation that 9/11 commission has done and all their 'recommendations' are designed for nothing less than further establishing the patriot act.

Anyway, what I really want to say is that no American should feel guilty for being a victim of the coup. We love you anyway. Very Happy
