Cannabis Has Many Health Benefits
Cannabis has a wide range of potential medical benefits that deserve further investigation, says a new report from the Royal College of Physicians, UK.
Cannabis-based medicines are an active area of research. Even though longer studies are needed to provide clear evidence, medicines based on cannabis and its derivatives have the potential to treat a wide range of conditions including:
- Appetite loss
- Chronic pain
- Multiple sclerosis
- Obesity
- Heart disease
- Osteoporosis
It has even been shown to help people quit smoking.
Concerns voiced about developing a dependence on the drug don’t seem to be warranted, and provided there is adequate dose adjustment, it has not been found to have troublesome side effects.
The report, however, warns that the risk of psychoses is still a concern in young people or people who had previous psychotic episodes. What’s more, smoking cannabis should be avoided, as this carries similar risks to the lungs as smoking tobacco. Instead methods of administration such as capsules and mouth sprays should be studied.
The study was published in the British Medical Journal.

Allan Rose of GlaxoSmithKline, the pharmaceutical company, claims that billions of pounds a year are wasted on prescription drugs that offer no benefit to most patients. Dr Rose, the worldwide vice president of genetics at GSK, said less than half of patients prescribed expensive drugs actually benefited from the treatments. He said that drugs for Alzheimer's disease work on less than a third of sufferers, and cancer medication is effective on only a quarter of patients. This news may prove to be disheartening for many patients who rely heavily on pharmaceuticals and put all their faith in them. This story is covered by most of today's papers.
not only that , 75% of all sicknesses have no allopathic Medicine.
80% of all allopathic treatments do not work and or don't have enough
scientific evidence that they do work.
