I want to share this email I received from brother Daniel;

Quote:
Aloha and blessings. We give thanks and praise to Haoma. A little American history most people don't realize that there was Freedom of Religion in America long before it's founding, the Constitution or the Bill of Rights thanks to Lady Deborah Moody. She basically did what the founding fathers took credit for without even mentioning her name.

This widowed, middle-aged English immigrant was a most remarkable Long Island woman of the 17th Century. Deborah Moody was the founder of Gravesend, the only permanent settlement in early colonial America planned and directed by a woman.

The town patent granted Deborah Moody by the Dutch in 1645 was unusual as was the woman in that it gave Deborah and her colleagues "absolute freedom of conscience" a contract she compossed. Although the Dutch West India Co. had ordered that no church other than the Dutch Reformed was allowed in the entire colony of New Netherlands -- making it unlawful to worship publicly in any other religion -- Gravesenders would not be prosecuted for worshiping in any faith in their own homes.

Approximately 350 years ago, Lady Moody produced her own “Contract for America”, asserting that ALL men and women are created equal, and that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights.
Now, her views did not go over too well with the “Religious Establishment”, on either side of the pond England or New England. However, if you have your thinking cap on, you have perceived that her contract with America contained essentially the same guarantees of FREEDOM that are in our DECLARATION of INDEPENDENCE. Note this, hers were written some 133 years before our American forefathers got around to writing their monumental document. Further, she was to become the only woman to hold a colonial charter in the New World. She founded and was, in effect the mayor of the town of Gravesend, now absorbed into Brooklyn, New York.

In 1652 war broke out across the Atlantic Ocean between the English and the Dutch. The result was increased tension in New Netherlands between the Dutch rulers and the English towns in western Long Island. That was aggravated in 1657 long before George Washington was even born, when the first Quakers (the Quaintances') came to New Netherlands, a move that infuriated the new director general, Peter Stuyvesant. In one of her last acts of dissension Deborah Moody invited them to Gravesend, and the first Quaker meeting in the colonies was held in her house that year.

Seven years later, the entire Dutch colony would come under English (CROWN/ROME) rule, but Lady Moody would not live to see it. She died about 1659, at age 73. It was a quiet ending for the life of a woman whom the historian Flick called ``The Grand Dame of Gravesend.''

America was built strong by and with the help of Marijuana.

The founding fathers of this nation George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were both promoters of hemp, as noted in their farm diaries spoke of their experiences as hemp farmers. Throughout Washington’s farm diary he spoke about the quality of seeds, always taking care to sow seeds in best areas on his farm. He documented that he had been taught by the Indians the importance’s of cultivating seeds at the proper time taking care to pull the male plants from the females. In 1790’s Washington began cultivating “Indian hemp” which he said produced the best quality of plant, and noted its superior quality to common hemp mostly grown during that time. Both Washington and Jefferson disliked tobacco, and on occasion they would exchange gifts of a smoking mixtures, Washington reportedly enjoyed smoking hemp flowers, however there is no hard evidence.

It is my understanding that HEMP is grown by planting a large amount of seeds per sq. foot and you just allow the plants (without ever sexing) to compete with themselves for light causing them to grow tall and fast. If you are using marijuana for the making of sails, rope or cloths then this is how you would do it however our founding fathers were pulling the males from the females and that my friend is a horse of a different color. Most people who grow marijuana for THC know that it is important to "pull the males from the females" to prevent seeding which ends bud growth and diverts plants energy into seed developement but our founding fathers had one up on most growers today because they not only grew fine buds they also promoted the importance of  SEEDS and that is were our sacrament Haoma comes in. Understanding how our founding fathers grew the herb anyone could know they grew it just as we of the Church of Cognizance would, not only for it's THC but also for it's mature seeds which when you put the two together you get Haoma our Sacrament.

Thomas Jefferson who today would be a modern day drug dealer as he not only promoted hemp during his tenure as Governor of Virginia he kept reserves of hemp, and in May of 1781 used hemp as currency when money from the government was in short supply. Some things change some things stay the same as the herb still means money to the government but now they make their profit from it's prohibition turning their backs to whats good for Country and it's people. We are going to change ALL THAT!

Jefferson believed hemp to be a superior crop to tobacco and “was of the first necessity to commerce and marine, in other words to the wealth and protection of the country.”  Today our government fears hemp might enter into commerce when the fact is that it was because of Hemp being at the very heart of commerce in early America that our nation was strong from it's very beginning and has only been weakened by Congress and it's prohibition.

Until 1776 many colonies passed laws to encourage farmers to produce hemp, Virginia designed laws to compel farmers, fining those who did not comply. Lobbyist were hired to promote, and education the public about the importance of hemp. Books were published that wanted to establish hemp as America’s trademark product. Today America's trademark product is it's dependency on everyone for everything that is except for weaponds, walmarts or prisons of course.

Colonies under the crown, were banned from spinning and weaving hemp, this fostered dependence to England, which was demanding raw materials from the colonies as a way to increase its labor forces. The exported fibers, were then bought back as finished products from England. As the market was flooded with hemp, immigrant weavers from Ireland arrived in Massachusetts, setting up shop and passing their skills to the peasantry. What may have seem a small movement, grew into self-sufficiency from the British Crown, to the extent of a boycott of English fabric products. These were some of the conditions which lead into the War of Independence from the British. The American paper industry was born of hemp, linen, and cotton rags which provided writing materials throughout the war, essential for communication. George Washington knew that Americas Freedom depended on it's self-sufficiency which is exactly what Congress outlawed in 1937 when it prohibited Marijuana. This prohibition was nothing more then our government committing an act of terrorism on this country by leaving us open to being dependent on other countries for our needs as we most certainly find ourselves today.

The fact that Hemp was so important to the U.S. economy and so valued it was exchanged as money throughout most of the Americas from 1631 to the early 1800s. Both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States were drafted on hempen paper. Colonial women sewed soldiers' uniforms and flags from the tough hemp fibers, and bagging, cordage, twines, ropes, and sails were all made with hemp. Oil for lamps and for paints was pressed from the seed.

As the American Revolution approached, patriot Thomas Paine insisted that the colonies were strong enough to break free from old King George's oppression and rise to their own greatness, in part "because hemp flourishes here."

The attack (Prohibition) that has been committed on this plant shall not go un-educated as we still seek freedom from old King George's oppression (George Bush's ancestors) still to this day. The herb was used to make the new world strong and employee Americans to grow it everywhere until the Prohibitionalists formally Promoters aka Druglords/Trafficers aka Oil Companies aka Lobbiests' aka Timber Co. aka the Church of Rome aka the Crown gave to Congress a lie (which it did not take the time to varify?) they called the truth which Congress used to violate our Trust in Government and their Oath to the Constitution of the USA.

I believe that anyone in Law Making or Enforcing in any of the three branches of government who have do to their own ignorance voted to attack the herb or punish it's users at any time should be removed from their office today. We have to clean the fertilizer out of our living-room if we want the smell to go away. Start at Capital Hill and Wall Street and send a message clear that we are not the slaves of our employees aka Federal Government. As much respect as is given our founding fathers I must say that what they DIDN'T SAY do to their enormous egos' is what is kicking America's rear-end today. George Washington our first president along with most of our founding fathers praised the herb HIGHLY yet there is no mention of protecting it from any type of prohibition in our LAWS,WHY? I smell a RAT. You don't this old George Washington was in on this from the start? One good rule that our founders might have thought to put in would be that anyone holding a high post or possition in government should at least be a HUMANITIAN who actually loves the American People and to make sure that the office was not for sale to any war-monger lobbiests or pharmicutical special interests..

WE WILL END THIS PROHIBITION thanks to the devotion and hard work of so many of you! We of the CoC would like to thank all of you who have offered your help with our on-going case and a special thanks to OUR CHURCH (Rev.Tom and Paul) for walking their talk, for their prayers and for their offerings. Mahalo.

I believe that Lady Deborah Moody had more integrety in her little finger then all the founding fathers had put together with their slave owning hands yet the truth is that all of the colonists or immigrants were really nothing more than illegal aliens and it's lucky for us all that the indians didn't have their own form of the Coast Guard to keep us out as the Whites do today! What happened to the open arms of America? CHICKEN? AFRAID? It looks like Americas' open arms have turned to Open Arms Dealers. We give thanks and praises for the simple truth (LOVE) which makes us strong beyond the biggest of lies.

A great man once said;
"The prestige of government has undoubtedly been lowered considerably by the prohibition law. For nothing is more destructive of respect for the government and the law of the land than passing laws which cannot be enforced. It is an open secret that the dangerous increase of crime in this country is closely connected with this."
Albert Einstein

"..it does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds.."

George W. Bush quote
43rd President of the United States
"No one should be singled out for unfair treatment or unkind words because of their ethnic background or religious faith".

The invasion of Iraq Mr. Bush is not only a attack on the craddle of civilization and a war crime it is a attack on one of the oldest birthplaces of Religion in the world so get it straight.

Hemp and Marijuana both made America STRONG and HEALTHY from the beginning and they will again.

we give thanks and praises for all our friends and to Haoma, your bud E.C.Daniel Jeffrey,CoC,Puna,HI.

Nice post Ferre...

Please let us not forget who we have to thank for a large chunk of our first amendmant rights today, at least in the USA. They are largely mocked, and considered the "odd bird", even in Christian circles. The Jehovah Witnesses have helped significantly relax the laws on religious freedoms in the USA and abroad.

They have single handedly done more to protect American freedoms since this countries inception than any other group or person. So, if you are thankful for your freedom of press, speech, or religion, etc... consider not only those who designed those freedoms, but those who have fought to maintain them and express them to their fullest form.

I have considered the relevance of their door to door solicitation case, with some of the issues discussed here. In which it is found unlawful for any government, whether it be sate or local, to require any registration, or permit for an activity that is already granted to us by our first amendment rights.

Now, this context is in regards to solicitation, but the reasoning behind the argument is clearly established by the court. I think that such precedent may be relevant with regards to the registering of members, the tagging of plants, etc....

I'm no law professor by any stretch of the imagination so I'm just throwing some thoughts out there....

Up close and personal Jehovah's Witnesses can be wolves in sheep's clothing.

Yes,they have fought hard for their right to recruit door to door, but deny theses same free speech rights to dissidents. To even vocally question the Watchtower leaders will result in ex-communication.

I was one for 33 years and their spiritual bliss is bogus from the get-go.-Danny Haszard http://www.dannyhaszard.com (visit my site for fast facts on Jehovah's Witnesses)
