Currently in the final stages of constructing a basic website for the local THC Ministry chapter I'm starting down here (good news, I have heard from many who are very interested), and I had a question regarding using content from this site and thc-ministry.org: is it permissable to use certain information, such as the "Would You like to smoke..." portions, and if so, including giving proper credit to where the material was obtained, are there any other guidelines I should use? _________________ the Rev. Hello Thomas and friends,
Aloha. The THC Ministry will celebrate its fifth anniversary on September 21st of this year. We've grown pretty steadily since then with thirty thousand practitioners signed-up in 41 countries as of last report a few months ago. It's mostly been a great ride with many positive performances and high quality experiences. Now to your question about building a local website.
I appreciate your wanting to build a ministry and a website. Super! I'm recommending a bit of training first, however. Why? Because we don't HAVE to be big - but we HAVE to be good.
As of a few months ago I stopped designating any more THC Ministry websites and any new THC Ministry "Ministers" for now. Both (new websites and new ministers) were watering-down our progress, in my opinion, and leading to less, rather than more, credibility and legitimacy for our ministry family. The starting position with us is as a "practitioner".
Credibility. For starters: who are you? I don't belive that we've ever spoken on the telephone, yet, for instance, or had any significant email correspondence. You only have (I think) a 1-2-3 Kit. You have only posted here on the .net site a total of 7 times. You seem to be a 'newbie' to us and, in my opinion, need more guidance and education and credibility before we give you the keys to the family vehicle and let you drive it off wherever you're thinking of going with it. Know what I mean?
I can support your training and development as a THC Ministry "practitioner" FIRST. (I should have instituted this years ago.) When I (we) know more of who you are and what you're capable of and what you're up to - then - and only then - can I recommend you as a "Minister".
As of this time I still want to keep new Ministers and new websites "in training" and "on hold" until people can prove themselves to me. I invite you to do just that, Thomas. Build your credibility in this ministry and THEN I'll be happy to entertain the idea of you as a full THC Ministry Minister joining us here and on www.thc-ministry.org.
New THC Ministry websites will probably NOT be happening. I don't see the point of them, to be honest. They can lead to "ministry malpractice", in my opinion, leading newcomers into a potential for danger.
Obviously this information only applies if you want to start a "THC Ministry" with the use of our trademark and our name, our logos, our intellectual property, etc. If you want to build a ULC Ministry and a ULC Ministry website, or something else, I have zero to do with it.
Mahalo for considering this point of view, Thomas. Please contact me personally if you still want to develop into a THC Ministry Minister. I'd love to have you grow with us in a conscious, powerful and long-lasting way - if that's what you have in mind.
All the very best to you,
Roger

It is NOT permissable. Thanks for asking.
