I was just wondering about your political writings in this forum.
Everything I've seen indicates that a religion loses its tax-exempt status if it has any political discussion of specific candidates or legislation.
Aren't you worried about losing your tax-exempt status? Or do you know something I don't know (I'm NOT a lawyer). _________________ http://www.prntrkmt.org/ |

Very good question.
I have been studying up on Non-Profits for quite some time this past week. There is much, much, much I would like to know on this subject if we can expound a little.
My biggest question:
I still don't understand, how you can profit, off of a non-profit.
And before everyone starts jumping down my shorts, it is imperative that if someone is devoting themselves full time (ie: board of directors) they should make a healthy profit.
The Christian's Children Fund, for example, states that they keep 20 cents out of every $1 donated.
20 percent basically.
That may answer my question, but I cannot find documentation.
If you are spending all of your time on a great cause, you should be able to make a nickel at the end of the day.
I would love, love, love, to see us start something like Norml.
And I don't think it is out of the realm of possibility. If we learn how to raise funds, in which much information is readily available on the internet, we are set. |

Good point.
Seems to me that "religion" played a major part of dumbya's recent campaigns (onderneming).
Pat Roberts(son?), Jerry Falwell, et al speak publically and endorse their "chosen" favorites.
And concerning legislation... what issue do they not talk about? Abortion, gay/lesbian issues.
Didn't the Rev. Pat Roberts(son?) publicly recommend the assassination of Venezuelan President, Hugo Chavez?
If these examples are not illegal than it must be allowed by the "deciders" we unfortunately have.
It IS allowed from one of THEIR approved religions.
Peace,

THIS THC Ministry, and THIS forum is owned by the Dutch/European chapter of THC Ministries international and the American government had ZERO jurisdiction in matters of this (Amsterdam) THC ministry.
Don't worry and talk all the politics you like. Life IS (for a great part) politics. Politics influence our lives every second of the day and we have all the rights in the world to talk about it. _________________
