It's BAD news, It's a chemical replacement for the REAL medicine.

It's about the same thing as what is happening with sugar.

Sugar gets replaced by "aspartame". a neuro toxic poison that happens to taste sweet.

Now they want to replace a natural medicine with a chemical alternative.

The only reason for this in my opinion is because they can not "copyright" or get patents on the REAL medicine so they make a chemical one that can be patented.

What I read here, between the lines, is that Cannabis is recognized as being medicinal but they are looking for a way to have it produced totally chemical because of the old $$$$$$$

It's not a bad news in my opinion. THC works fine to block blood supply to the growth of some kind of tumors for instance, but it must be injected in situ to work fast. You can't do that with a plant.

I see the news as good for the patients that need that kind of treatment.

For the rest of us... it's simply no news.

Weird thing here, they surely give patent rights to a chemical multinational to reproduce healing elements from a plant while at the same time they forbit this plant to grow on this planet and they put people in jail only for growing or using this plant.

I do agree with Echo on the subject of the details on how this plant can be used, some times it is worth doing research and develop ways to make our knowledge more effective, however..

This adds up to the prove of our corrupted political system and most of all, the corruption of our representatives.
