Dear Friends - As most of you are now aware, cannabis campaigner Chris
Baldwin was locked up in Highdown Prison on January 9th.

Friends and Supporters of Chris Baldwin are preparing to protest outside
parliament fifteen days into his prison sentence on Wednesday January 21st
from Mid-day, and are currently informing the local authorities of the plan.

Many are so angry that Chris was imprisoned that they are planning to spend
the night "homeless" in sympathy to Chris, close friend Winston Matthews of
Horley said "When Chris was sent down, I felt really let down, to me its
simple, if cannabis users are still to be locked up, we are not being
treated as UK citizens, it is in effect like being homeless, we will be
sleeping in St James Palace Park, as the end to our peaceful protest"

Clara O'Donnell of the Legalise Cannabis Alliance a registered UK party said
"With the law change taking place in less than two weeks, it seems a little
mad that Mr Baldwin who uses cannabis for medical purposes and cannot walk
without crutches, will be locked in a cell at a huge cost to the taxpayer"

The protest will begin at Mid-day outside parliament.

The protesters will demand that Chris Baldwin, Worthing's Cannabis Cafe
Pioneer is freed immediately, and that cannabis be legalised.

Chris Baldwin mother Dorothy Baldwin, aged 81 said "My son has helped
hundreds of people who are sick, we need to be strong for Chris, so I would
ask anyone who knows him to come and show their support of my son"

If the protest falls on deaf ears, the protesters plan to be back on
Wednesday 28th January and again spend a night homeless before spending
Thursday 29th January protesting at the Home Office.

The protest promises to be a peaceful one, campaigners are asked to make
posters, wear fancy dress and bring smiles and laughter, a spokesperson for
the Friends of Worthing Koffee Shops said "The police have always been happy
to allow us to make peaceful protests, and we successfully protested last
summer in London on behalf of Biz Ivol an MS sufferer from Orkney, like
always we have a reason to be here and we need everyone to show their
support"....
