Hi. I was asked to join the forums and make a posting regarding Ntr Sentra.

Ntr Sentra is an ancient Egyptian religious ritual commonly practiced in temples and at home.

Ntr Sentra is the use of cannabis incense to empower prayers by making the prayers more pleasing to the divine.

Ntr Sentra literally means "breath of the Goddess". We get the modern English words "incense" and "frankincense" from this ancient Egyptian word.

Ntr (often written Neter, pronounced "netjer" or "nay-tcher" -- and yes, the modern English word "nature" comes from this ancient Egyptian word) means the mysterious divine. With the determative for male god it also meant God and with the determinative for female goddess is also meant Goddess. While the ancient Egyptians worshipped the neteru (thousands of different deities, such as Bast, Isis/Aset, Osiris/Asaur, etc.), they believed that the real divine was a single universal entity that was beyond human comprehension.

Sentra means breath and is the source of the modern English word "scent".

Herodotus, the famous ancient Greek historian, wrote about the pleasing smell of this incense spreading for miles around the Great Temple at PerBast (which he called Bubastis). This was the largest temple in antiquity and four times a year more than a quarter million young people gathered to lose their virginity. The incense burned here was a combination of cannabis and cinnamon. So much Ntr Sentra (the word refers to both the incense and the ritual of using the incense) was burned that people got high just arriving on boats!
