has anyone heard anything about Moses bathing in an oil saturated with cannabinoids and gettin high Laughing

on the mountain when he was supposed to be talking to god ?

its jus something i've picked up along the way and i'm jus wondering if anyone else had heard about it

According to Hebrew scholars in jeruselem the word callimus here was wrongly translated. The word kanehbosm bleongs there. That is hebrew for cannabis.
Exodus 30:

It doesn't say anything in the regular Bible about Moses bathing in oil before going up on the mountain but some apocryphal writings I don't know about could have stated that fact....

Exodus 30:23 (attributed to Moses) NIV version:

23 "Take the following fine spices: 500 shekels of liquid myrrh, half as much (that is, 250 shekels) of fragrant cinnamon, 250 shekels of fragrant cane, 24 500 shekels of cassia-all according to the sanctuary shekel-and a hin of olive oil. 25 Make these into a sacred anointing oil, a fragrant blend, the work of a perfumer. It will be the sacred anointing oil.

The fragrant cane in the ancient Hebrew is Kaneh Bosm.

If that looks familiar, it's because Kaneh Bosm became Kannabis in Greek and Cannabis in Latin.

Later non-Hebrew translations of the bible mis-translate this as sweet calamus.

In ancient days, they did annoint by pouring from a pitcher...but, then, fragrant cane was not nearly so expensive, and much easier to obtain. Wink

The shaman-prophet Moses led half a million Israelites from slavery in Egypt into History after encountering a "red, burning plant" and speaking to God - the Amanita Muscaria mushroom but that's yet another story.

Following a series of natural disasters, Moses finally staked his whole shamanic reputation by publicly naming the day when his "god" would kill the Pharaoh's first born son, and drive all the Egyptians crazy with grief. The two ergot fungi which contaminate grain, Claviceps Paspilli and Claviceps Purpurea, posed a recurrent threat to a village's bread supply as late as the Middle Ages.

The last large ergot poisoning was in France in 1816. Effective in microgram doses, the powerful LSD-type hallucinogen Paspilli produces fits and visions, while Purpurea can gradually and fatally stop the circulation.

Future generations must even use the stuff to celebrate the Passover, he tells them! (And they do to this day!) Finally, they must destroy all traces of their meals. "If anything is left over until morning it shall be destroyed by fire." (If the plot backfires, expect cops crashing in looking for evidence!?)

His instructions to paint blood on their doors was presumably the underground flyer campaign to spread the conspiracy. And once more: "Anyone who eats anything fermented shall be outlawed from the community of Israel." (Won't be coming on the trip, and might be an informer!)

Since the Pharaoh's first born was Moses' uncle, he definitely died. As for the other Egyptians, they beg the Israelites to leave, now. Whereupon "the people picked up their bread before it was leavened, wrapped their kneading troughs in their cloaks, and slung them over their shoulders"

Are they hiding the evidence?

Picture the great city of Rameses, swarming with 'poisoned' Egyptians in the middle of the night, from the bereaved, maddened Pharaoh down, wailing, retching, dying, convulsing, half naked and totally tripped out of their brains! And the Hebrew nation hightailing it out of town, evidence concealed beneath their cloaks, and carrying a supply of uncontaminated bread.

Then this utterly amazing line: "The Israelites did as Moses had told them, asking the Egyptians for jewelry of silver and gold. As the Lord had made the Egyptians well-disposed towards them, they let them have what they asked."

To describe their devastated former masters as "well disposed" can only mean they were so tripped out they were open to the slightest suggestion. The final line says it all:

"In this way they plundered the Egyptians."
