I've got some memory problems related to other issues I have, but while high my short term memory is pitiful. I'll go into a room to get something and forget why I went there by the time I arrive, and I live in a small apartment.
Any ideas what I can do to fight this? _________________ And I will raise up for them a plant of renown,

I used to have memory problems when I first started, a long time ago. It fixed itself with perseverance
My memory problems were funny, I would start a sentence and forget the first few words I said, making the conversation impossible. Usually we ended up laughing rolling on the floor, for real, I could not stand up. I still remember the cramps of a good silly laughter. _________________

Oh yeah, I had that, but I cured myself, all you got to do is.
well.
umm..
Oh shit, nevermind.
I space out alot, I can't tell you how many times I have gone to change laundry to figure out I started the dryer and not the washer, or vs versa the last time I was checking on it. A heavy day of smoking realy sets it off (heavy for me is 2 or 3, 1 hits every couple hours) If I haven't smoked for 2 or 3 days I don't have the problem AS MUCH, but I was born a space cadet, and will die one (if I can remember what a space cadet is when i'm 113).
My wife is always making fun of me for it too. last night I was talking to her and said, "oh shit, I got to take the trash out before I go to bed" and startd pulling on some sweats and sandles, she lol's and points out it had been thursday all day (trash gets picked up Wednsday) she gave me shit for a good 2 hours saying "tuesday?"
I do get stuff done because of it. I forget what I was looking for, or wanting to do and wander room to room cleaning up everything untill I come down enough to remember "oh yeah, I needed to get bateries for the smoke dector" or "oh yea I wanted to put the tools I used back in the garage" life goes on, Cannabis has significant efects on short term memory for many users, thankfully I cant remember if it bothers me. _________________ Reverend Cave Grower |

Agreed, but like Echo I am forgetting things within ten seconds. Almost as bad as a goldfish. |

Hello Mazdek and friends,
Aloha. Welcome to the THC Ministry and thanks for your inquiry about memory. I have a few ideas for you.
Calamus root powder, also known as 'sweet flag', can be used to smoke WITH cannabis for a synergistic effect to increase memory. It's a Vedic thing from India and I really love what it does for me. A Krishna friend introduced it to me in 1992 and I've enjoyed its energizing effects every day and night since then. Did I say that I really like it? I really like it and carry some with me at all times.
Calamus root powder is also recommended for memory enhancement by taking with a small amount of honey. The bitter plus the sweet combination is OK together.
Other herbs are recommended for memory enhancement such as ginko biloba and gotu kola. I've also seen and used "Einstein's Blend" that I found in a healthfood store. Who knows? I think supplements can and do help.
Part of the benefit of enjoying cannabis is that it blocks trauma memory and puts a person in a state of 'here and now'. Enjoy the moment with cannabis sacrament.
All the best to you,
Roger

Heh heh heh, yeah. Interesting movie. And Trinity was in it!
Thanks Roger, I will give that a try. You're right about it putting you in the "here and now", it helped me get through a very stressful time in college. I guess I'll post to the Testimonial board about it sometime. _________________ And I will raise up for them a plant of renown,
