The Marijuana Policy Project is offering grants in Arizona, Delaware, Idaho, Maine, Montana, New Hampshire, and Oregon to build grassroots coalitions of organizations and individuals to promote the legalization, taxation, and regulation of marijuana.
Proposals should focus on a single state and outline a three-to-five-year plan for enabling change in state law via legislation or ballot initiative. Grantees are expected to attempt to a build a "grassroots machine," which includes involvement at many levels of government, ground-level marketing strategies, and a community-based force.
The deadline for the next round of applications is Sept. 3. Funding is typically for one-year, but multi-year programs will be considered. For more information, visit the MPP online.
