|
|
That's right, folks. The U.S. Senate is just now getting around to passing a resolution that would ban lynching in the United States.
Hey. I guess they've been busy.
The following Senators would NOT sign the resolution. I guess they think it would be un-American to ban lynching, what with it's rich history and all.

Senators who refused to sign anti lynching resolution
Tue Jun 14th, 2005 at 09:09:49 PDT
Here are the 20 Senators who 1) refused to co-sponsor the anti-lynching
resolution passed yesterday, and 2) refused a roll-call vote so they'd
have to put their name on the resolution.
Call or email them and tell them what you think: www.senate.gov

I have counted them, they are 20. They probably come from all walks of life but one thing they all agree, Lynching should not be banned. Fair enough. The people below are invited to a party organized by yours truly. Free entrance to all who feel had a bad day and want to throw something at them. Free stones and drinks for all.

Just double checking here. So it's NOT illegal to lynch congress? _________________ The free exercise and enjoyment of religious profession and

I was surprised to find out that 'swinging someone from the ol' oak tree' wasn't banned over a hundred years ago. But man, that fact that so many Senators would want to keep that option. I noticed a few names from the 'nice' Midwest.
I'm sure they thoroughly thought this one through, just like they did with the Patriot Act. They will probably only keep the 'hemp necktie' available for 'terrorists'...
...as so ill-defined by the Patriot Act. _________________ "Penalties against the possession of a drug

We prohibit 'cruel and unusual punishment'. As one comedian pointed out, sure hangings are cruel, but are they really all that unusual? Apparantly not in the south... _________________ The free exercise and enjoyment of religious profession and
