I am proud to announce that Kelly Christie was nominated as a candidate for the Green Party of Canada on April 8th, 2008. Kelly lives, works, and will be running in Prime Minister Stephen Harper's Calgary Southwest riding.
Kelly has been consuming cannabis since 1974 and is considered a cannabis connoisseur by many who know him.
Kelly has been a member and a strong supporter of Calgary 420 Cannabis Community - http://Calgary420.ca/ for a year now. He is also a member of Law Enforcement Against Prohibition - http://leap.cc/, Norml Canada - http://Norml.ca/ and Canadian Cannabis Coalition - http://http://cannabiscoalition.ca/
His political focus will be on social justice.
Supporters and volunteers are welcome to join Kelly in his future political adventures.

Today in www.metro.co.uk the head read:
Vote Green to Legalise Drugs and Prostition.
Sian Berry Green mayoral candidate, says she will push for a system similar to that in New Zealand claims.
She also want to take the drugs trade away from the hands of criminal in dutch style coffee shops.
She won't last long.
Shame the thought was there. |

I've been saying this for years already; Cannabis users should get more involved in politics.
Not just in the left wing parties or cannabis parties, but everywhere. Cannabis users are not per definition lefties, when you visit the large cannabis forums and look at the political topics you'll realize that Cannabis users have all sorts of political preferences, what they do have all in common is the hope that Cannabis laws are changed.
If only Cannabis users would be voicing their opinion on this issue from within the different political parties this would be sufficient enough to let the politicians at the top realize their opposition on prohibition are their own voters.
Somehow this knowledge is not present enough in the Cannabis community, shame. _________________ █ Please read the Board Rules and Posting, and you

Maybe you could teach people how to start Ferre. I do all I can but unfortunately cannabis smokers are frond upon, so if we write letters they go missing. Plus, most smokers are smokers, due to ignorance of others. You could give advice on 'how to get heard', with a forum on where people could post on their progress and requests for advice?
Getting to talk the the one in charge is sometimes impossible, so you just do all you can, Personally I tattoo it on my face, if anyone is going to talk to me they know I will probably talk about cannabis, I enjoy people looking at me grim face thinking I am sad scum and when I pull the the biggest grin, they a smile of pride as if I am someone to be admired. Then when I talk they realise I am being persecuted. And that's what I do on my own, If I had support, who knows? |
