I have a member who doesnt, and a very good point was brought up in another thread.

it states somewhere, (you all prob know better than me) that one of the requirments is we partake of MANDATORY sacrament.

What is the official postition on this?

Are non smoking members welcome?

Quote:
By joining THC Ministry you declare that:

You are, or want to be, a sincere religious practitioner of cannabis.
You will take the simple steps to develop your 'legitimacy'.
It is mandatory for your spiritual practice to cultivate and use small, personal amounts of cannabis, in private - at home or church.
You are minimum 21 years old. (Or legally adult in your country)

^from the regrestration page ^

Quote:
The THC Ministry helps you to build your very own religious defense to prosecution that will last a lifetime. You need to be:

A. Over 18 years old (21 now)and a sincere religious user.
B. Use Cannabis as your mandatory sacrament in private.
C.no commerce, or selling of the sacrament."

^from the 1-2-3 Cannabis sanctuary kit^

although I belive the rules are well and clearly stated regarding the requirements of membership in the THC Ministry the other thread shows how varied the views are about the subject.

after thinking about your qusetion I belive this:

regarding YOUR Church, or Ministry (not the THC Ministry) you can welcome anyone you wish into your flock. But they are not members of the THC Ministry just by joining your church group, they are only required to abide by the requirements you have put in place. They did not join the Global THC Ministry by joining your church. Since they are not members of the THC Ministry, the doctrine of our ministry does not apply to members of your church unless you as Minister mandate it.

They can if they want become a Brother or Sister of the sacrament, but they will be bound by the doctrine's you see above, just as you agreed to be in your declaration.

If nobody tells me otherwise on this thread, im sending roger back everything he gave me with a thank you note and my resignation.

I will not be a part of an organization that discriminates against anyone.

to be fair, everyone in my church has signed up thru this website, so YES, they are all members of the global thc ministry.

Zero,

I feel like this is a rash and emotional decison that I hope you dont pursue. This isnt a hippie commune, it is a religion. Religions have boundaries. If you fall within those boundaries or beliefs you belong. If you dont, you dont belong. Everyone belongs somewhere, its only where you choose to be. If you choose to leave us if this principle stands to be true, it is your choice, and I wish you luck in whatever you pursue.

All you have to do to satisfy yourself is no longer mandate membership in the THC Ministry for your members. They are members of your Ministry, not the THC Ministry, If you demand they become members of the THC Ministry knowing they don't use the sacrament, shame on you for forcing them to claim a doctrine they will never follow, not shame on Roger for creating it. I recomend you pick up your phone and Call Roger before you jump the gun and ship your kit back Brother.

This thread is sure getting heated up. Perhaps if bro Zero would be a little more specific as to why he joind THC ministry we could all understand his dilema. Please don't leave yet Zero, the situation may yet be recoverable.
