The military is sold to America's youth as their golden ticket out of poverty. Poverty is government policy. Since 1974 America's poverty level has not dropped below 6%. While the standard of living for the impoverished steadily plummets, the cost of living escalates. Minimum wage increases have not kept pace with the rapidly decreasing value of the dollar.
Oddly enough, as America has one of the largest and most active military in the world, it has not had a need for a draft since 1974 when they dreamed up the idea for the "all voluntary" military myth.
Can you see any connection between the two? _________________ "Penalties against the possession of a drug

By coincidence I happen to see a little part of a children's gaming show on tv today and they had a topic about how the US army, in collaboration with big games companies, at the moment are dumping all kind of Army based combat computer games on the market to, as a sergeant put it in an interview; "Make the US Army brand more popular amongst young people". they are so desperate to recrute that they go for the children now.
It's sickening. _________________ █ Please read the Board Rules and Posting, and you

My husband plays a lot of those "army" games. I'd rather have him playing them than living them. _________________

The Federal Reserve raises and lowers interest rates as they see fit to keep inflation low.
The Fed could lower interest rates and control monetary policy in such a way that could fuel a boom in the economy, with many more high paying jobs for people. But the Fed doesn't, because they're afraid that would cause inflation.
Higher inflation means people with money get a decrease in the value of their assets over time. So they're willing to tolerate high unemployment so that their assets don't lose value. Regardless of the great pain and suffering of the general public.
So Public Policy becomes protecting the wealth of the few at the expense of the many. Even within their treasured capitalist system, they could have a system that benefits the majority (and still increase their wealth), but they choose to have a system that maximizes their profit instead.
This is the height of greed.

I predict that in the not so distant future the Nazi World Order will break America's economy just like they did to Germany before WWII. Break the economy and make people desperate. Desperate people will agree to anything as long as it promises a brighter tomorrow. Unfortunately, so many other economies are directly tied to the American economy that they will also go down with the ship.
Just 2 years ago, the Pentagon predicted a future of "endless war." That's my point about why Amerikkka doesn't need a draft right now. Without any socialised healthcare or higher education, the impoverished are desperate enough to sell their souls to the Pentagon, America's number 1 employer.
I support bringing our troops home starting now. The longer we wait, the more permanent the damage will be. Tens of thousands of these young people will have psychological problems for the rest of their lives and Washington has cut funding to help them.
Why wait another year and further escalate the problem? Admit that this was a mistake if the word lie is too much to handle.
