|
|
hey im just wondering if there are any people out here that would start a hunger strike, for lets say getting caught growing cannabis?
My point of view on this subject would be YES.
I would dedicate my hunger strike in the name of freedom and justice and also to GOD...in a sence my goal is to free god's holy plant.
Therefore i would die for God's plant .
any1 agree with me?...any 1 willing to die in the name of freedom/God? |

Im on a hungerstrike right now only because I dont have food.
I say no to the hunger strike as well. We would only be hurting ourselves. _________________ www.shoutwire.com

'Tis, indeed, a noble thing, should you chose to do so, and I will not belittle it.
But...I'm just not any good at that whole martyrdom thing.
I might cut back on the carbs, though, as a gentler, more subtle form of protest.

Yes, I wouldn't eat or drink a damned thing if they locked me up over my "condemned" religion.

I'm relatively new to the forums here so forgive me if I'm wrong, but we use cannabis religiously, protected by the constitution by freedom of religion, precedented by the Andrews Test, giving us undoubtable freedom to cultivate and consume cannabis privatly, given that we are sincere and legitimate in our use, and we aren't in commerce with the sacrament... and in order to be sincere about it, you need be religious in your ways, and in order to be respected by the government in the most basic sense of the term religious, you must exhibit traits deemed "religious," which by merriam-webster online dictionary is:
1 : relating to or manifesting faithful devotion to an acknowledged ultimate reality or deity
2 : of, relating to, or devoted to religious beliefs or observances
3 a : scrupulously and conscientiously faithful b :Fervant, Zealous
Now, the purpose of the definition here is simple:
When someone says to someone something, specifically to the government, and that particular person is sensitive to the way the person they are functioning with might react, in a legal sense the government, and that person doesn't know what the term is defined by, they can look it up and can relevantly respond in an educated and adequate manner as to not offend the other party.
When I read the law, I want to see it in every aspect possible, and in the sense of being sincere, we are religious in our use of cannabis, which can be percieved as being "Fervant" or "Zealous," and by definition (from the same respected source) to be "Fervant" can be "exhibiting or marked by great intensity of feeling" ...
from the same respected source, Passion, Fervor, Ardor, Enthusiasm, and Zeal mean intense emotion compelling action...
Now, personally, I have a "general respect" for the slim majority of government laws on the basis that people make laws, and personally I believe people are good. I don't want them to be able to say that I am not sincere in my religion, so if I were to get 'caught growing cannabis,' I don't think that I should be going to jail in the first place, and if I were, I think it would be my duty as a law respecting citizen and a religious man to "exhibit great intensity of feeling...compelling action." I think starting a hunger strike would be a very peaceful and appropriate thing to do, but I almost feel that any action "exhibiting great intensity of feeling" should be protected and I feel almost necessary. _________________ God Bless,

If I am indeed condemned for my use of cannabis, I will definately go on a hunger strike. I have been through periods of fasting, for personal and spiritual reasons, in the past, for up to about a week or so on only water. If I am to be persecuted for my beliefs, the very anti-thesis of the founding ideals of this country, I will gladly begin my return to the Spirit.
