Baby it was cold outside but my team won...yay!Hockey in Edmonton, best served cold.

Edmonton, you shone Saturday like a sunlit ice crystal, like a golden frozen pond under blue skies, as the world watched big-league hockey return to the frigid outdoors and its roots on the Canadian Prairies.

Yes, it was cold, cold as hell. But those shivers running up and down my spine weren't signs of hypothermia. Seeing Wayne Gretzky on the ice again during the afternoon legends game, with the likes of Mark Messier, Kevin Lowe and Jari Kurri, was enough to make an old Oiler fan shed icy tears.
