OK. Here's how to handle those freshly scrubbed, pink-cheeked, earnest young missionaries when they come a-knock-knock-knockin' at your door:

THEM: "Do you know that Jesus loves you?"

ME: "Hey. It was a summer-thing. We were young...we were crazy...we'd had a lot of margaritas."

Well, it's a nice little mind-stopper. Those kids have memorized what is basically a sales-pitch, including "Answers to Overcome Common Objections."

There's no real conversation going on....so I figure you're free to play with it...and hand them an "Uncommon Objection."

Just like the cannabinoid-deficient lab mice, they are unable to improvise or think fast on their feet.

At least you've given them something that they'll remember the rest of their lives, which is more than they had to offer. Wink

The day after returning home from a party where he'd had a particularly enlightening psychadelic experience, one of my friends had a call from the Jehovah's Witnesses. He decided that he'd benefit from a spiritual conversation, so invited them in, made then a nice cup of tea and proceeded to tell them in great detail what he'd learned from the experiences of the night before. They were visibly disturbed, left in a great hurry and never returned. Hehe...!!

Being an ex Jehovahs Witness I always invite them in and then I turn the tables.

I ask them why they do not allow men with beards to speak at the podium as they do all others who have been studants of the theocratic ministry school there, when their watctowers and awakes depict men in beards.
They are always baffled and usualy dismiss themselves in a hurry because they cant answer it. Very Happy

It happens to b what got me out of that organization. Anghellic and boogieman had longhair and had been ttending meetigs regularly and also the Theocratic ministry school on tuesday nights. And they were banned from speaking at the podium because of their long hair and goatee's. ( rebelious hippies is how they looked at us altho Id been a memmber for 20 some years.)
After my sons death we started attending regularly because we needed some spiritual guidance. Thru this action of theirs God let me know it wasnt the religion to be in and as soon as we quit God started working with us. thru the vision of painting when I later wentinto the coma in that sleeping sickness.

Their own Bible says that only 144,000 will get into Heaven...

I used to ask them when I opened the door, if they were one of the elect...that always seemed to confuse them......

Do you think there are any JW 'closet smokers' watching the forums...?

xnightshadesx a local member of the Missouri THC ministry is also an x Jehovahs Wittness and also Reverend Mrs. Anthony is also a x JW. I am sure there are many that may happen onto the site. I hope that they all soon find a way out a well. Honostly to me ANY religion thats is anti cannabis is wrong. I dont mean to hurt anyones feelings by saying that either.
I sincerely think the scripture that says "Get out from among them" is speaking of the hypocritical religious organizations.

Oh Yes fyrefly I used to be one of them that was knocking on doors. With 2 little children in tow and then 2 toddlers and baby anghellic when he was born. Even while pregnent I was in the field knocking on doors 100 hours a month. Embarassed

The no beared men at the podium was a mandate of theirs in the 70's when I joined. I do believe it has somthing to do with the hippie revolution. I never really thought much of it till my boys were earnstly seeking to learn at the theocratic ministry school and at that tim the oprresive mandate opened my eyes.
