remember that co2 is needed to grow plants so all co2 givers must also be holy, enter fermentation which not only gives co2 but alcohol as well. (BTW fermentation uses no oxygen yet produces massive quantities of co2) you might say yeast eats sugar and pees out alcohol and farts co2 then the plants eat co2 and sunlight and provides oxygen and sugar and pretty flowers. Though yeast does not use oxygen during fermentation, im sure there is a plan in there somewhere (along with music). I dont think seagrams would like to hear of my religion. anyone who wants to discuss the importance of alcohol jonhomebrewer@yahoo.com. fermentation happens, we would be nowhere without yeast but yeast wouldnt care if mankind disappeared today.
the only reason there is excess co2 produced on the planet is fossil fuels (and cutting down trees and denying hemps right to exist) so dont feel bad about fermenting.
pissed at big oil? (like i need to ask) www.seen.org

i'd rather not have poop air on my plants but CO2 is CO2, so i suppose your right.its not like i leave the room to fart or burp w/ my babies and i always rapto them. but i definitely say ravioli and meatballs w/ some pepsi will give you much better farts than beer. and it helps w/ munchies too. 2 birds with 1 stone. _________________ Liscensed Herbillest. Well, not only that beer is healthy [click] but HOP, the main ingredient (for good beer) it is also a member of the Cannabis family. In the 70's there's been some enting experiments (Yes, this can be done) with cannabis sativa ented on a hop plant. The theory was that the rootsystem of the hop plant would make the cannabis plant grow bigger as usual and give better yeild. Well, it worked partial. The hemp was bigger alright but it contained very little thc
BTW, Hop is also needed for the production of LSD.
Did you make any beer yet bro?

ferre thanks fer the click. it took me a while to get there. all of my questions answered i hope. I dont really know much about beer except what ive been saying. i certainly didnt know hops were so good for us in a magical sort 'o way. that article is great. wat a job, studying the medicinal effects of hops as used in a fermented malty beverage. I wonder if people consume hops any way other than in beer,
is it barley thats involved in the lysergizzle and the ergot? i think i remember seeing a b and w picture of a grain stalk with some wierd looking kind of fungus growing up in the kernels. ( maybe its one of those false memories) and the caption said Ergot. I read a book __The L*D Story when i was a kid has anyone else read this book? it was a lOng time ago. anyway, i think its the funky grain thats the magical ingredient.
i hope the aliens arent coming for me right now for discussing the secret so openly. Its Magic I sez, Magic.
and no i am waiting for my bro and his family to return from vac. cuz he is the real brewer (his beer tastes good EVERY time. he read the book)
ive made plenty of tasty beer, but ive never followed a "recepie" i aim for a nice bitter which is what Pa and i like. i made beer over the open fire all last summer so it ended up costing like 25 canadian dollars to make 15 gallons and no propane. And plenty of sweat, plenty. My bro and bought an old industrial sized coffee dispencer at salvation army for like 30 bucks or so and can make ((boil) 30 gallon batches so ill wait for the master
30 gallons at a time, i do believe i could start up the church with that!
its pretty cool. we send the hot wort through a copper coil that is INSIDE if a garden hose and you just trickle cold water through the system and it comes out HOT at the other end!!! we always do laundry when we make beer cuz of all that hot water but a real brewery would use that hot water to start the next batch of grain a'mashing (mashing, look it up) i use extract, 15 gallons for $25 canadian how can u not imbibe?!?
