| My daughter needs an eye check and I have to give her Cyclopentolate before the exam, can anyone argue that there is an alternative. |

What is Cyclopentolate and what is it supposed to do? (I've never heard of it)
edit, found this:

It doesn't look too bad, it's not something to ingest but only a couple of drops in the eye, I wouldn't worry too much about it, unless your daughter has known allergies. I wouldn't know of any alternative to be honest. _________________ █ Please read the Board Rules and Posting, and you

My husband and I both had to use that during our eye exams. However that was only one doctor who ever did that to us. if I'm not mistaken it will make her extremely sensitive to light and she will have to wear a good pair of sunglasses after. You may find a doctor who doesn't require that or talk to the doctor more about it and he/she could be convinced not to use it. That is if they're only doing it presuming she'll squirm or something. _________________ Happy to be here. |

Thank you guys,
Being so young, and being my concern about her wanting to use her brothers glasses to read small print, I worried I may be making things worse. I have perfect vision, but I didn't start reading as early as my kids are. I don't want to shove them into glass for the rest of their life, just so they can read small print at a young age, and as for putting chemicals in their eyes I think they just want her pupils to dilate so they can look at the lens Mallory. I was thinking of give her a large spliff to smoke, I'm sure it will do the same job:lol:
Once again thanks! |
