Arrests over cannabis factories
Police seized plants and cash after raids on six properties
Thousands of cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £80,000 have been seized in police raids.
Surrey Police raided six properties in Camberley and London on Wednesday and found hydroponics factories.
The total number of plants seized is thought to be about 5,000. Two people are under arrest.
Police said downstairs living rooms had been turned into fully operational factories with specialist lamps, air conditioning and ventilation systems.
A spokesman for the force said further addresses in London were also searched leading to the discovery of a large haul of cash thought to be in the region of £50,000 to £100,000.
Det Insp Andy Haslam said: "I know that some people may regard cannabis offences less seriously, but we will continue to take robust action against anyone who is involved in its supply and cultivation."
