B.T.W. the MAYA believed that man has had 5 ages where we had reached a high level of advancement and then destroyed ourselves or been destroyed by 'the great spirit''(once by great winds,once by flood etc...etc)

they believed this was the fifth and last age of man and it woud end in fire on the 23 december 2012.

they also belived that a whiite , bearded man would appear (for the second time)in the end.he will be both redeemer and judge over humanity.(hmm where have i heard that before).his name in qechua is Quetzalcoatle but the Maya or Quiche Maya know him as Kukulkan.
