I have my own unique beliefs of how humans got here and what our purpose is as the only lifeform on this planet that has the dubious burden of self awareness, but that's for another time.
Here's a question I would like to throw out there:
Survival of a species depends on it's ability to adapt to its environment. Humans, however, adapted the entire planet to suit ourselves. Would this not be some sort of anomalic 'anti-evolution'? And if so, what would be the purpose? _________________ "Penalties against the possession of a drug

In that my skin is too pale to provide effective protection from the sun, and my body has too little hair to protect me from the cold, I think that 'anomalic anti-evolution' is an appropriate description.
I've got a hell of a brain, though...and opposable thumbs that are absolutely to-die-for.
Bliss on,

I would also add to that question what are the consequences of an 'anti-evolution' or tampering with the natural order of things? Better yet, is our tampering just part of the natural order itself? _________________ -Brother Adam (we are all one family)

Interesting point.
If a beaver builds a dam, it's a beautiful thing.
If I build a dam, I'm, suddenly, an asshole.
Of course human tinkering and tampering are part of the natural order. We just need to be wise about how and what we do.
This, in fact, is quite important.

I agree, and because of our capacity to alter the course of all things natural in such a rapid fashion we should humble ourselves and try to limit our impact unless we would like to be remembered as a horrid virus that consumed everything it's host had to offer, who's extinction will be recorded as a blessing to the planet we inhabited/ravaged. _________________ -Brother Adam (we are all one family)

Evidence for Evolution?
Have you ever looked upon a child and noticed the similarities to it's mother and father?
Did you know that humans developed language over many years?
Do you realize that in life, nothing is new, and everything is simply a matter of combination?
The debate is a bit twisted.
Evolution is a fact.
The debate is whether or not we came from nothing.
We should be clear. |

Funny you should say that, Rev. A.
I've been marvelling over the world through the view of satellite photos available at Google Earth and I've started seeing humankind as a kind of mechanized virus that is literally taking over its host and killing it. We look something like a fungus growing on an orange. The decay is evident. Our ultimate demise is only seconds away on the geological clock.
We should ask ourselves what has it all been for?
Nothing evolves without a purpose.
Everything fill a need.
What has man's purpose been? _________________ "Penalties against the possession of a drug

Last night while out for a walk I suddenly noticed how beautiful the moon was in the indigo sky. I stopped walking just to look up at it. Then the thought occurred to me that of all the animals on the planet, humans may very well be the only ones with the consciousness to notice such things that are beyond our need for comfort and survival.
I heard the sound of a large animal moving behind me. I turned to look, and there was a big horse standing with his tail to the moon swinging his hips back and forth as he scratched his ass against a fence post.
It was an answer to my question. _________________ "Penalties against the possession of a drug
