if any of you has any relevant info on the situation in england i would appreciate i would like to here from you so that we can get some guidance from bros. roger and ferre.there are several pieces of conflicting national, european and U.N. legislation that affect us and we BADLY need to work out a credible strategy to defend ourselves.ploughing through all that technical and legal mumbo jumbo is forcing me to consume vast quantities of herb and i may develope 'reefer madness' and start listening to jazz music.we need to find out if a defence against prosecution on religious grounds can work for us!
any views or advice from my brothers and sisters would be appreciated.

Good question.

Now another question for you: what happens in England to someone found smoking a jpint a two grams in the pocket in his home? Or in a park away from children playgrounds?

Please, Don! Not JAZZ!

In that path lies madness, my friend...

I think we're all trying to sort out what's what in England these days ...and I'm sure that someone smarter and less smart-assy than me will make some cogent points...

*Edited afterthought: http://www.thc-ministry.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=30128#30128 shows how weird things can get...

Hang in there, Bro...

thanks mystic power.i knew i should have trained as a lawyer!the way i see it is that we dont want to precedent to be set that works against us.if just one person can take it to the U.N.or european courts and win we have set a prescedent which protects all of us.hmmm i wonder what prison food is like these days!trouble is i am no expert and i wouldnt know where to start researching.i got copies of all the relevant national and international law but it just makes my head hurt.
hello echo.what happens if you get caught smoking at home?simple-you lose your tennancy and are made homeless.
smoking in the park or any public place-simple they throw the book at you after demonising you and accuse you of selling drugs to babies!
not all cops are bad tho, last time i got searched and they found an eighth of weed on me they gave it back and told me to f*** off!!! always behave in a business-like and polite manner , NEVER sign anything , not even for your property, and NEVER say or admit anything!this is vital!!!tell them you will be happy to make a statement only AFTER you have spoken to a lawyer..a lot of people have been caught out by being tricked into signing documents they thought were harmless.
have your day in court.you might win on a technicality or lack of evidence!!

I have been smoking in public a step away from the police last year in London at a cannabis fair. Some people even brought their children with them while smoking and chatting with friendly cops.

How much is a real danger and how much is just in your head?

sister echo
please be careful!!!
at fairs like Glastonbury etc etc the police turn a blind eye because 1)they dont want to start a riot 2)they dont want to alienate too many people 3)they are filming and photographing everyone any way etc etc etc.
if you get caught smoking in a public place you WILL be arrested and you WILL be charged.not cautioned but CHARGED AND TRIED. that was 1 of the conditions of downgrading.
also growing in this country has not changed-it depends on where you live and what judje you get and the colour of your skin!!! and if they charge with 'intent to supply'.

also any goods or property obtained thru selling dope WILL be confiscated.
being charged with 'intent to supply' depends on how many plants you are growing-THIS IS VITAL-they dont have to prove you sold herb-just that you INTENDED to selll herb.

if you get caught growing a few plants you will probably only get fined-community service or a suspended sentance

please please if your going to grow in the future KEEP IT SMALLSCALE.!!

i have been campaigning for 15 years for the abolishon of the 1971 misuse of drugs act and i know what i am talking about.
hope you live in an area where the police ignore personal use and cultivation.remember 95% OF PEOPLE THAT GET CAUGHT HAVE BEEN INFORMED ON BY OTHERS.

keep it quite and da cops just ignore you.

stay safe

peace-justice

Indeed they go harsh on dealers around here. Is it fair? I don't think so. Weed dealers should be licensed not punished, in my opinion. But I should remind you that any papers issued by the ministry will not protect dealers, only spiritual users. I grow one plant a year in my garden(sometimes two). It's a sacred plant. Do I need to say more?

well im from UK and its fairly simple when you get your own house, just smoke it at home as im pretty sure that the law cant touch you for possesing small amounts (1/4 i think) in your own home for personal use. So even if the neighbours complain etc i dont think the police can bang down your door unless they expect dealing,.

However being 19 i have only just moved to un and have had to endure 4 yrs of blazing on the streets and in mates cars/my car. The only time ive ever been cught is smoking in my mates car in reading town centre lol, we had an eigth and got it converskated and a caution and that was all.

Just lie low, although i myself do not if it worries you stick to smoking at home and in middle of fields/woods etc. I personally just cup the spliff in hand and wlk through town no problems, just keep wits about and dont exhale a toke onto a policeman.

yep.
you are both right.personaly i would hate to see herb produced and marketed by big multi-national corporations.after all these are the same people who put greed and personal gain above the sanctity of human (or any other!) life.i think it should be legal for everyone to grow and smoke their own.

its all common sense really.because of our aniquated legal system and our govts. tendancy to ignore international law our case is a little different.just look at the figures.only the usa. has a higher percentage of its population rotting in prison.

and think of this.if it wasnt for all the people arrested for cannabis related offences how would we justify such a massive police force?the police would have less than half the work they have now.then we would no longer be able to live in a police state!

i mean, whats next?a totaly independant and free press!!!where would the fourth reich...er i mean der new world order be then!??why we would be just like those... those... europeans!

as of 7/7/05 and the attrocities committed on that day in london
we are about to see sweeping changes in the law.the last of our civil liberties are about to go straight down the sh1t-hole.

better polish up those jack-boots volks , and get ready for the 'new world order (ie.total , unrestrained , corporate plutocracy.)

you are either with us or you are against us.

Apparently we are on high alert . Nobody is safe. That's the message. And to get back our safety, we'll go through some times of stricter control on all of us. Yes, really impressive. If I were not such a blind loving government, law abiding citizen, I would almost think it's been done on purpose.

I can see how it could be mis-read that way.

Just keep repeating, "They hate us. They hate us for our freedoms! They hate us. They hate us for our freedoms!"

...unfortanately, it's D.C. and Downing Street that hate us...and our freedoms.

hi
i live just a matter of yards from one of the bomb sites and i have to tell you - some things just dont add up here.

aldgate and euston have something in common:-

THEY ARE BOTH PREDOMINANTLY MUSLIM AREAS !?!

so - of all the big fat targets an (imaginary) muslim fanatic could pick in london they chose to blow up two areas that are like 80% muslim--er...nah

oh and wasn't this the most convenient attack in history??? MI5 couldn't have timed it better if they planted the bombs themselves or set someone up to do it(cough cough)

according to a C.I.A news bulletin released just after the attack a brit intelligence offical told them there were 6 bombs but 2 didnt explode and were recovered with the timers and detonators intact.

the hindu and other newspapers all over the world also ran similar stories , quoting from various sources within the british govt. and intelligence services (gestapo)

luckily our 'disaster commity' , a jpint group of police, doctors, intelligence officials, fire services and rescue services were just around the corner that day.they just happened to be running a simulated sort of scenario to test their effectiveness - the scenario was ..... what to do if a series of bombs went of on the undergroung (metro) network during rush hour !!!!!wow...what a coincidence. er....nah
they heard the bombs go off as they were running the scenario.!!!some of them even thought it was part of the simulation!

we had to have our own 9/11 so that we can introduce even more draconian laws ("civil liberties may have to be curtailed" - quote - alan clark within two hours of the last bomb and making his first public speech)

the police have arrested mayor guiliana as a suspect because he keeps turning up whenever these 'muslim fanatics' attack the west (he was near one of the bomb explosions) nah just kidding - the police never arrest senoir members of the mafia. hmmmm wonder if he was in madrid too??

i think there is enuf here to convince the gestapo to open yet another file on me - bet echelons computers are really buzzing now('Twisted Evil')

Sad, but the scenario worked on 9-11. FEMA was in place on 9-10 "ready to go into action on 9-11".....Our gov't. practiced the scenarios for the trade center with the same planes and same plastic box cutters etc in 1976.

You know what they say..."if it works, don't change anything"
