The Drug Policy Alliance reports:

In a major victory for doctors, patients and the Drug Policy Alliance,
the highest court in the U.S. has declined to hear the federal
government's case against doctors' rights to recommend medical
marijuana. On Tuesday the Supreme Court said that it would not review
a lower court's decision to uphold a doctor's right to recommend the
drug to patients. This means that the federal government is still
prohibited from threatening physicians who recommend, or even discuss,
medical marijuana use with their patients.

& In case You haven't heard:

Kucinich put in writing that as president He will:
"decriminalize marijuana" -"in favor of a drug policy that sets reasonable boundaries for marijuana use by establishing guidelines similar to those already in place for alcohol."
http://cannabisnews.com/news/thread17917.shtml

A President Dennis Kucinich would end this in the future.

Thats tragic news indeed. Im so sorry for him and his family. I cant help but think there was some "outside" pressure on the Canadian court to rule against him. This unfair persecution of the sick and dieing has to stop.
I pray it stops soon.

Peace

I'm Canadian but even I had doubts the immigration board would rule in his favor.
