DEA Agents Raid 7th Heaven Stores
Agents Also Raid Store Owner's Home

UPDATED: 9:56 pm CDT May 19, 2004
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Drug enforcement agents raided a Kansas City business that has been around for years, KMBC's Krista Klaus reported.
DEA agents shut down two 7th Heaven stores on Wednesday -- one in Midtown and another in Sedalia, Mo. They also raided the Leawood, Kan., home of 7th Heaven’s owner, Jan Fichman.
Federal agents and local police swarmed the 7th Heaven at 76th Street and Troost Avenue, hauling out boxes, computers and rolls of plastic.
A former employee, Ryan "Yogi" Yoakum, said a coworker called him at home and described the scene.
"Everyone was standing around. They questioned everybody and they released everyone working except for the main people. It was just crazy," Yoakum said.
The store sells posters, CDs and futons, as well as tobacco products like rolling papers and water pipes. In the past, some law enforcement officials have considered those items to be drug paraphernalia.
In a similar sting in 1997, law enforcement shut down the same store.
In Leawood, agents also hauled out boxes from Fichman's home in the Hallbrook Farms subdivision.
Stacey King, a housekeeper in the neighborhood, said the raid started around 8 a.m.
"DEA and Leawood police were over there taking little boxes out of the house," she said. "Just little boxes and they filled two trucks up."
Yoakum said 7th Heaven also sells sex toys and pornography -- so it is unclear what items the agents were looking for.

Well I am pretty sure DEA still stands for Drug Enforcement Agency, So its pretty clear to me why they were there. The "Tobbaco papers, s and hookas are discreetly in their own room.
Their adult toys are off in another section an the normal shopper doesnt even see it. This is ridiculous
Surfing the net
I HAVE SEEN SOME SEX TOYS THAT SCARED ME! ( an scared of the peoples minds that made them )
BUT I HAVE NEVER BEEN SCARED OF A HOOKAH!!!! _________________
