Communal Bonding Circle
Everyone sit's in a circle.
Minister:
Pass sacrament rolled in hemp paper to the left.
Pass sacrament rolled in hemp paper to the right.
Once sacrament has reached the opposite side of circle
from where the Minister is sitting, Pass two more hemp rolled
sacrament's in opposite directions.
A total of four rolled sacraments should be circling the community.
Two going in each direction.
Four rolled sacrament's should work for about 6-8 people depending.
(Add or Deduct as needed)
When finished smoking the sacred herb, remember to thank it, and everyone else for taking this time together.
Please remember this circle is intented to be a bonding practice for you and your ministries members, talking, laughing and having fun is encouraged.
Suggestions:
Do not talk about
1. Politics
2. Specific Relgious Denomination unless it pertains directly to
your ministry.
Avoiding these topics helps ensure that a loving, non-judgemental enviroment stays intact.
Please remember that not everyone may share your beliefs, and others may not know about a certain topic that you are talking about, and may feel left out, so remember to choose topics that everyone can enjoy and be a part of.
When in doubt, trust your instincts. Remember above all you are a minister of peace.

Great idea, but what about a focus for the high?
It is wisdom which says to keep things, "non-denominational" so to speak, but there are many focuses which are neutral in that respect.
An example of this would be to focus on the high itself together, recognizing that it is in itself sacred and profound. "Having fun" is great and there's no doubt a place for that, but can you imagine every spiritual meeting of any mainstream practice being conducted only for the sake of "fun"? Surely not. Thoughtful seriousness, especially meditative focus is one that can get the most out of the deeper meanings of any experience, especially the group high.
Speaking of the group high, have you considered what it's potentials are in such a setting as you're suggesting? _________________ The World Mind Society http://www.eoni.com/~visionquest |
